this is the same jack you can buy at the AutoZ store. Mine was received damaged though, as it is too heavy to shipped in factory box. It must have been too hard to put it inside another box in the warehouse! Other than that, this jack is nice. It adjusts forward and backward and side to side, so it makes working on a transmission much easier. I always did the floor jack and a piece of wood - which was very dangerous and I have dropped transmissions often onto the floor this way. Never again - with this jack you don't have to worry. The safety chain is a bit awkward and hard to use. I just use a tie-down strap. The swivel handle is great. I was able to lift a tranny into a car all by myelf - just rotated the handle so I could lift it while under the car. The release is a valve type handle - if you are very careful when opening the valve, you can precisely lower the jack - but be careful because it also easy to turn too far and you will drop fast! Overall, I love this thing.

Great tool for the part-time mechanic

Boy, using a transmission jack sure makes trans removal and then alignment with the engine easier. This tool is well worth the price. The jack and table itself is sturdy and easily held a large diesel pickup transmission. The chain and tensioner is pretty cheesy. I use a ratcheting strap instead.

Easy to use, nice adjustments make the jack easy to use, with additional side to side and front to back angle adjustments. Difficult job without, a simple, safe job with. Heavy duty design, very heavy metal casters.
