great toy especially for 12-24 months

I got the brainy baby right brain and left brain creativity collage for my twin boy and girl when they were 13 months old. They loved in then and still do. Initially, they just loved pressing the buttons, but now (18 months old) they respond to commands from Tammy like "clap your hands" or "dance to the music." The toy has lots of different activities and buttons to press. I had trouble finding toys for my kids from about 12-18 months (now at 18 months they seem more interested in pretend play and follow instructions now). I found this a perfect toy for every kid I have had over to the house. My neice who is four even enjoys playing with it. The toy has a little handle and my kids carry it around. The toy is kind of expensive, but I would recommend it to anyone.

Bells, Whistles & Flashing Lights w/ No Real Learning

This is another one of those electronic "learning" toys that simply inundates infants and toddlers with lights and noise, was slapped together just as fast as the makers could and put out on the market for us to waste our $$. It is so loud and flashy, and I don't believe it offers much in the way of learning. The phrases it says are totally unrelated to the button pressed. It doesn't say "triangle" when you press the triangle button, for example. Instead, when pressed, the buttons activate silly, meaningless little phrases such as "Clap your hands" and "You're a little brainy baby." Instead of this toy, I recommend the Leap Frog bus, caterpillar, and activity table, and the Laugh and Learn Learning Table. This was my first "Brainy Baby" purchase and it will be my last.

Woderful Toy

I bought this toy for my 8 month daughter and she just Loves it! I have not seen anything like this hold her attention for so long.(She actually dosn't try to eat it:) hehe) It is a great toy she loves all the different things to do on it and my 3 yr old loves using it with her.

My daughter loved this

My six-year-old daughter chose this as a Christmas present, and she has loved it. The kit comes with all items separate; you must glue on the individual flowers, decorate the larger ones, and put the flowers and streamers together. My daughter enjoyed all of it. The whole thing was very easy to use and put together and has held up for several months now without a single flower coming off.My daughter has a queen-size bed, and the streamers in this kit are narrow enough that we could not achieve the wrap-around look shown on the cover of the box. They were wide enough, however, to cover the head of the bed.

all around great

My daughter is 5 yrs old and loves arts and crafts. When I saw this at Amazon for the price I had to get it. I had my doubts about what it would look like when it got here. To my surprise!! It is the coolest room decoration. My daughter loved desingning it and it looks so elegant and girly hanging above her bed. And to top it off was really easy to assemble. It also comes with sizable flowers. A lot bigger than i expected. Really cute and durable.

So cute in a little girl's room!

I got this for Christmas one year when I was younger, and my friend and I had a blast decorating all the flowers with paint and hanging the canopy up. We put the individual flowers on the wall in a pattern like this: _-_- so it looked like the flowers were growing together but weren't perfectly even- it looked so cute like that. In fact, once we were done with everything and put it up, it gave my room a theme and was adorable! After years of use, the flowers' fabric started stretching and getting holes in them, but for the price they are worth the money. I would definitely recommend this for a little princess' room.

Great Buy!

Hey!So I'm a college student, and was previously in need of some real sound power for parties.I bought the 1000 watt amp from Pyle, and a single speaker. I literally just got them set up and had a sound check. With the volume pretty high up, the room was shaking, and you could clearly hear (and feel) the music downstairs and outside.So, for having owned them for about 45 minutes, I'm very impressed. I could've gone with a Bose sound dock for the same price as the amp and speaker (about 220 over all), but i wanted loudness over the supreme quality of Bose. Nevertheless, these will be tested throughout the rest of the summer, and if something goes wrong, I'll post it.They're great. I think I'll get a second one soon.Peace

I have 2 of these speakers arrived on time and they sound great light weight speakers..I DJ and they work just fine I'm thinking about upgrading to 15' soon but so far so good...

Deceivingly sharp!

Besides Shun's normally great design, this is amazingly sharp. Doesn't feel so sharp because of the scalloped blade but it glides through grapefruit, simply a pleasure to use. It's replacing my Wustof tomato knife, it's a huge improvement over the Wustof. Be aware because of it's design, it's best suited for the right handed user.

Shun Steel 6 inch Tomato Knife

Nice knife. I bought it to compare to my Global slicer. BUT, lets face facts, for slicing tomatoes, any old serated two dollar special will suffice. Check out the Shun U2 for a superb all purpose slicer. Check out the Victorinox (R.H. Forschner) 4 1/2 inch Round Tip ,Wavy Edge @ $5.95. Best all purpose slicer/steak knife I own. Cutting up a Panini crisp sandwich with this is a joy. Another excelent slicer is the Shun Steel Nakiri. Gives paper thin slices of ham, roast beef, what ever.

A must have...

If you have the Shun Steel collection, you really need this knife.No, it doesn't "seem" as sharp as the smooth edged knives, but put this knife on an orange, tomato or bread and you'll see a huge improvement (vs the smooth edged knives). Just give it a little sawing action and you'll think you're cutting a stick of soft butter.Wait for it to go on sale!

Great knife!

The Shun vegetable knife is comfortable and easily fits in your hand for paring and peeling. It has a very sharp blade, but the light, aerodynamic handle makes for precise cutting. The handle does take some getting used to--especially since other knife brands are heavier. Once you use a Shun, no other knife is close in caliber.

beautiful, balanced, sharp

Great knife, very sharp, very long! It looks very good and we got it at a special deal price, so it was a great buy. I already have 2 Henkels cook knifes and they feel a lot heavier and more solid (thicker steel). This one feels light. I am not sure if I'd like it as much for full price (>$100). Also, if you are looking for the first real good knife in your kitchen, probably not the best starter. But as an addition for a good price definitely an attraction for display and great to use. You just need to get used to the length.

Splendid Knives!

I recently purchased the Shun Classic 9-Piece Block Set with Bamboo Block and I realized that I have never owned a really good knife before, even though I have had some "name" brands. Slicing, cutting, chopping is effortless, like cutting through butter. The bamboo block is very attractive, however it is about 11" deep and with the projection of the knives up to 4" beyond that, it is a formidable presence on the counter. Overall, very happy to the point of euphoria!

The Sharpest Knives Ever

I was introduced to the Kershaw Shun Knives in a local kitchen store, but decided to purchase a set at a better price through Amazon. These knives are absolutely top quality and make cutting even very thin slices a joy. Shun is, by far, the most reliable knife manufacturer I have come across. The sheer quality of the delivered product is astounding! I ordered the 9-piece Classic knife set with accompanying block and have never been more pleased with a set of knifes in my life. The blades are incredibly sharp and have little need for sharpening with the accompanying steel; the handles are shaped to fit your palm perfectly, and the design on the layered steel makes each knife unique and visually appealing.I will be looking to add more Shun's to this set to fill out the empty spaces in the block!
