5Improves on an already excellent original
By Red Harvest
Believe it or not, this one is even better than the original Tonka Mighty Dump Truck. I had already bought my kids one of the classic Tonka Mighty Dump Trucks like I had as a boy. (The youngest was tearing around with it in the sand box, across the drive, everywhere, basically like I had.) I didn't intend to buy this new bigger one, I was just going to buy the Road Grader and Quarry Truck Pack. By a stroke of fortune the store was giving that pack away with this new Toughest Mighty Truck for about the same price, so I figured, "Wow, free truck!" and plopped it in the cart. Turns out that it would have been well worth it regardless.I had seen this newer monster sized version, but wasn't sure what to make of it. This one is well thought out, and Tonka really did improve on the existing design. The larger, wider size makes it even better for little ones to push around as fast as their legs will go. It has fewer angled corners so wipeouts are less likely to draw blood/raise a lump than the older ones. The new handle at the top of the dump is great for dragging in and out of the sand box, storage box, etc. The open cab works better for some construction action figures (if you can find them.) Fits great in a 6'x6' sandbox and would do well in a 4'x4'. On top of the functionality, in ways it looks more like the newer more massive real life loaders in service now.The only potential negative is that it is so large that it is probably overwhelming in small sandboxes. This also means that even high lifting loader toys will have trouble dumping into the bed without a ramp or a bit of "air time." Hasn't slowed my little ones down yet, though. Now, if Tonka would just bring back the old 3920 Mighty Loader...

5Awesome Truck!
By c2
Boy, what a great investment this was! We bought this along with the front loader and wow, does it get used a lot! My little one just loves filling up that front loader and dumping stuff into the back of this dump truck. The dump truck then goes all over the place delivering whatever is in the back, and comes back for more. He goes through sand, mud, you name it and looks great. These trucks clean up very easily and don't marr hardwood floors. It's pretty cute seeing how many things he can do with this truck - it just provides hours of fun for him.

5Nice Truck!
By Incandesia
We bought this for our 16 month old son's Christmas present, after much deliberation. We bought this truck, instead of a softer, all plastic one for several reasons. The metal(steel?) bed has rolled edges, and very few corners. It's coated with some kind of enamel, so it should last awhile. The rest of the truck is made of some kind of really heavy plastic; I can't imagine a child being able to break it if they tried. The tippy part of the bed is suspended above the truck, to leave about an inch of space, making it almost impossible to pinch little fingers. It's big enough for my almost three year old to sit in, and I can hardly wait for Christmas!~Incandesia

5Quality w/ Ease of Assembly
By Reviewer
I just put this together over the weekend and I must say I could not be happier. I have assembled more than my share of "boxed" furniture and so often there are problems, but this cart is quality. The holes were drilled properly, the pieces were marked and they even supply an extra piece of hardware for every format used. Very considerate. The instructions make sense with one small caveat. Do not look at the hole marks on the illustrations as a guide for placement, as I did find one mistake on the back panel. Just know that all multiple holes will go inward. External holes also get plugged with nice finishing dowels. Upshot is, the piece is extremely strong, the wood is good quality, the drawers run smoothly and the stainless steel top is beautiful and is extremely heavy. This is not a flimsy piece. There's also butcher block top version, Solid Wood Top Kitchen Cart And Workcenter , which I just ordered a few minutes ago, being that I liked this unit so much.

5A Kitchen Space Saver
By A Customer
This cart was just what I needed. I only had 2 small drawers in my kitchen and not much storage or counter space. This fits nicely in my kitchen. I am able to have more counter for cutting food and making bake goods. Also, the shelves are great for easy access to pots and pans. I couldn't be happier. The casters also lock the island in place.

5form meets function
By ess
I bought this kitchen cart for my husband's birthday. It's not the most romantic gift, but it has really stood the test of time. It wasn't too difficult to assemble and--most important of all--it is super sturdy, with locking wheels, an attractive, durable stainless steel top, and plenty of extra storage space. It's the perfect size and height (at least for us). A real winner!

4For what it is, it's good.
By Jeddy 3
I bought this as a playpen substitute. It's as advertised, so I don't have any complaint about the quality, but up close it looks even cheaper than it does in the photo. The person who said it looks like a dog kennel nailed it. So if you're looking for something that will go well with the decor in your living room, don't bother with this. The way it looks doesn't bother me that much; what does bother me is that my son, by the age of 12 months, had learned how to push this thing around. It doesn't anchor to anything, so he started to shove it all over the living room, making it tip and generally creating chaos. My solution was to attach those removable non-marring 3M "Command" hooks to the wall and tie coated wire around them, then lash that wire to the play yard. It doesn't look beautiful, that's for sure, but it works; the play yard doesn't budge any more. If your little one is walking, you too will have to jury-rig a solution to their tendency to push the yard around and even lift it if they're strong enough.I also recommend you get those colorful interlocking foam tiles to put under the play yard; it makes the play area a bit safer. Amazon sells the "Edushape" brand, but you can get various brands just about anywhere. All in all, it's not an elegant solution, but weary parents who need a break will love it with all its flaws.

2Not really for children
By M & J with twins
I purchased two of these gates for my twins with hopes of connecting them together forming a rectangle around their existing play mat. This product certainly could not perform that function. My 10m/os tipped it over immediately. Then we tried the gates as advertised, individually as hexagons, and they still were able to move them. The worst part was trying to return them. They were placed in one order, but Amazon shipped them as two. When requesting a 'call tag' to retrieve them, they only picked up one box. The other remained on my front porch. Multiple emails and calls finally rid me of the other gate and I received my refund.I ended up buying two Kidco Playdens PD10. They connected together in the 8' X 4' configuration I needed (I called Kidco first to make sure), there is two swinging entries, it is very sturdy, it is taller than the Superyard, and they can not climb it. This solution costs more, but was really my only option. For children of the age where they are challenging their standing and climbing skills, I would keep moving when looking at this product.

5This has been wonderful
By Kendra Gehring
When our 2nd kiddo started getting mobile, I knew it was time to kid-proof the great room. Problem is, our great room is just that - great, as in large. The doorways are wide, the floor space is large, and our very curious 9-month-old was eager to explore every nook and cranny. Our older daughter wasn't quite as curious at this stage, plus we were living in a different house at that time, so we were faced with a new challenge of creating a safe play area for the baby. One day I had the idea of getting a play yard for the great room, instead of covering/blocking every single potential "hazard" (the entertainment cabinet, the CD tower, etc.). I ventured to Babies R Us and found this play yard and the extension kit (2 extra panels) and bought it. I set it up at home and have been happy with it ever since. For awhile, I used it in its totally enclosed state, but the baby didn't like being separated from the rest of us. I tinkered with it and came up with a way to keep her out of trouble, while still allowing her access to us - right now, it's in a large arc shape with one end butting up against the couch, the other end butting up against a chair. She has plenty of room to play (I keep her toys in there with her) but she can't get out or get to any "dangerous" stuff in the great room.As for looks, yeah, our great room isn't company-ready right now. But we have a 4 year old and a 10-month-old in the house, so the house isn't pristine anyway (my house is CLEAN, just not always NEAT...ha ha). I figure it's temporary, until she's old enough to know to not touch certain things. Besides, we don't have company, except for family, so the unattractive-ness of the play yard isn't an issue here. Even so, I'd gladly overlook the ugliness of it just for the convenience and benefits it provides. When the time comes that we no longer have to use this for the kiddo, I'll probably hang onto it, either to offer up to friends/relatives someday, or to keep as a puppy play yard for the future.

5Superb blade for many purposes
By R. G. Mizener
I got this recently when my old 80 tooth Dewalt one got dull. At same time, got the Hitachi 90 tooth just to see how each works. Now, don't get me wrong, the Hitachi is REALLY nice for the price, about half of this blade, but the Freud is...well, this is a real blade.Due to the write-up on the page, I was worried that it would not work for my purposes, which do not include laminates, melamine or formica. Even printed on the blade, it is only rated "good" for crosscuts. Don't believe it.I use it in a big mitre saw, and I was having a dickens of a time cutting some cheap Mexican molding (thanks, Lowe's) that is terrible wood. It was always splitting, chipping, tearing out with my other blades, including the new Hitachi. Not with the Freud. Not mentioned in the review on the page (at least I didn't see it) is the fact that this is a negative 3 degree hook blade, meaning that basically the teeth don't cut their way through the stock, they scrape their way through. When I opened it up, I thought, "oh no, it will be slow as the dickens trying to cut through hard wood." With the -3 degree set of the teeth, it doesn't even feel like it has a sharp edge. Boy was I wrong, it has never even felt like there was any stock that I was cutting, it just slices through without you noticing when you enter the stock, feels like you are cutting air. And, smooth--no tear out, very few fibers left on the exit side of the cut even in lousy wood. Beautiful in MDF molding. Also, it is a very thin kerf blade, about 3/32. Has TCP cut teeth, so that if for whatever reason you just wanted to make a slot, it is perfectly flat on the bottom of the cut, not double angled as an ATB blade would cut.I have tried to find something I don't like about this blade, but have not been able to. I will seldom if ever use it as intended, on laminates; but I will be really happy using it for all the other materials I put through my mitre saw. Since it is sold as having "harder" teeth than other carbides so it will last longer in use with laminates, I am hoping that it will last a lot longer the way I use it, which is mostly hardwood and pine molding and furniture work.GREAT BLADE.

2Not a happy camper with this purchase
By S. Paxson
I, like many others liked the price. I own 8 Zip Wall poles and figured the 3rd Hand product would come in handy should I need more poles to create a barrier. I must state that my main reason for purchasing the 3rd Hand contractor pack was to aid me in a crown-molding job. I liked what I read about these units and it seemed like they would fit the bill with the square feet and all.I will start by saying that the company must have had many complaints with the poles being used to put up plastic barriers. The box that mine came in show several different uses for the poles in line drawing form. The picture of the poles being used for plastic barriers was covered up suggesting the possibility that they received some grief from Zip Wall, or customers frustrated by the attempt to use them in place of Zip Walls.Personally I find the 3rd hand product quite heavy and cumbersome to use for supporting plastic sheets. Especially when trying to get them up to 9 & ½ foot ceilings! I had to use duct tape to get the plastic that high. Second, after I jacked the pole up onto the main tee and moved onto the second pole, the first pole came crashing down behind me as I jacked the second pole a little too much causing loss of tension on the first. OK so the 3rd Hand failed to please me on plastic barriers on tall metal grid ceilings. Onto the next project. For crown molding, the 3rd Hand is just that. They performed as expected. The slanting feet and square top plate kept the poles where I placed them. Laying the crown molding on top of the poles was a learning experience. When installing a 16' length of crown, you must place your ladder in the middle of the length so that you don't tip the center pole over or as in my first attempt, the 2 middle poles. Very noisy when they hit the floor. Once that lesson was behind me the rest of my 3rd Hand experience was non eventful.Back to grid ceilings, the poles are nice for jacking up the grids to help in leveling and also holding fluorescent fixtures while replacing grid work on wall relocations. I also used all four poles to raise the ceiling enough to slide a completely dry walled section to a new location 4 feet away without getting hung up on the ceiling grid. Just had to be careful the all the poles had the same tension on them.I agree with most other posters about the button problem. Very difficult to get them pushed in to raise or lower the pole. Raise the pole too high and you can't reach the jack handle. The solution there was to turn to pole upside down just to avoid readjustment with those button locks. The weight of all four poles in the bag is amazingly heavy. 8 Zip Wall poles are half the weight and being all aluminum well balanced. The tension mechanism on the Zip Wall units is a pleasure to use over the 3rd Hand unit. In all fairness, Zip Wall poles are not very good to use for crown molding and too light to use for holding grid ceilings up. Each of these poles has their place. Used on a regular basis it is best to use what each one was designed for, or be aggravated by the lack of compatibility that each system exhibits.I too have the same complaints about the storage bag being a few inches too small and lastly, would somebody please tell me what all the different bushings on the large plates are for? I'm still trying to figure out how the large feet attach. O NO! Not the directions!!! Still confused, I love my Zip Wall poles.

5New Updates to product
By munzzzzzzz
There are already many positive reviews out there so I'll focus on some of the issues from the bad ones.1) These poles supposedly didn't work for dust barriers. They now come with a "magnetic dust foot" that should make hanging plastic sheeting a breeze. Stand the pole up (see below), attach the sheeting to the pole with the magnetic feet while on the ground, then raise the poles up. Pretty easy.2) These poles supposedly tipped over easily. The kit now comes with "universal feet" that allow the poles to stand up on their own. Tipping shouldn't be a problem.3) The poles are supposedly too long for cabinets. My poles came marked with a location to cut them at if you want them short enough for cabinets. No need to worry about voiding the warranty.4) Some people find the poles too heavy. Unless all you want to use them for is plastic sheeting, in my opinion, the heavier they are, the heavier-duty they are, and I'll take heavy duty over light weight any day of the week.5) The poles supposedly don't fit in the bag. They do fit if you take the feet off, and the feet (including the universal feet and the magnetic dust feet) will all fit in the bag with the poles. I would guess you could probably get a couple more poles in there too. It would be nice if there was a bag for the feet or something so they didn't end up all over the inside of the bag, but just about anything would do for that.6) The Zipwall system is supposedly better because it comes with the foam rails. Rip a 2x4 down into four 1x2's and attach some cheap weatherstripping available at any home improvement store. You now have your foam rails. The only things I can see that's better about the Zipwall is that a) it's lighter, which is only better if ALL you're going to use it for is plastic sheeting, and b) the telescoping feature is probably a little faster than the design of the 3rd hand.I can't see spending over $100 more for the Zipwall when you lose so much functionality.

5Great tool set at an excellent price
By A Reader
Excellent tool. I was able to fit all four 3rd Hand Poles, four Universal Feet, four Dust Clips, eight head/foot pads, and a 30 page catalog from Fastcap into the bag supplied with the unit. The secret is to make the poles as small as possible (remove the Universal Feet, screw the bottom support all the way up into each pole and alternate the way the poles are placed into the bag), then place the Universal Feet into the bag.The 3rd Hand Poles are very sturdy, and are easily elongated or shortened. They perform as advertised and are a great help when installing long runs of crown molding.

5Trek Four Season Tent
By Brian Bowden
In most reviews I read that this tent requires 2 people to set up and takes about 30-35 mins to set up. I have set this tent up twice in the last 2 weeks by myself and have done it in about 25 mins. Last weekend while scouting for elk hunting I had the tent set up at 9500 ft we had a real nasty storm blow in with 40 plus mph winds. It Rained at least 1/2 inch in less than 45 mins. The tent remained dry with no leakage at all. Day time temps average 75 to 80 degrees. with the 2 doors and four large windows we had a great breeze in the tent. Night time temps dropped below freezing at night with a Mr Buddy Tent heater it heated the tent up in a couple mins and actually need to shut it down. Lots of room in the tent to allow you to stand and change. We use this tent for extended trips and actually use futon mattress and have a cot for my daughter. we still have a lot of room to store supplies and move around. This is the closest you can get to a full blown wall tent without spending $1500 plus dollars.

4Good Tent so far
By Ryan
I bought this tent on amazon.com and it arrived right on time. The first time i opened the box it was missing one piece, but we were able to fabricate the wrong piece they gave us into the right one. Recently got back from a trip to Valentine Ne. Slept in the tent for 4 nights. It withstood 30 to 35 mph winds without any problem. Tent seems sturdy and holds fairly good heat.
