Da-lite Tripod 96x96 Screen

Screen is exactly what we were looking for. It was easy to set up, and very sturdy. We use the screen for weddings and special events. It's big enough for everyone to be able to see. Our audience size is usually between 150-350 people. This actually our second one because someone stole our first one. Ordered it from Amazon on Friday afternoon and had it by 11:00am on Monday.

Good and Bad

The Da-Lite Picture King is the best tripod projection screen on the market. It's heavy duty, withstands inexperienced operators and, in my favorite fabric, matte white, the fabric is washable ( many fabrics surfaces are not!. )I rented them and sold them for over 30 years. I had Picture Kings that lasted over ten years and were still in good working order, so it was a slam-dunk that I was going to buy one as a gift for my local rural library. However unscrupulous merchants and shippers who have no idea how to handle such a large item trump manufacturer's quality. When I purchased this screen it was supplied by a third party although, thankfully, it was covered through Amazon LLC. The first screen arrived, having had the carton's end ripped off and then re-taped with international shipment tape. I attempted to set up the screen and the tripod had been bent so badly that the screen could not be erected. I emailed Amazon and had a replacement sent. The replacement had also been opened and resealed and had shipping damage (a dented case) as well. Both were used screens that had been re-packaged. The third party supplier and the shipper I believe share the blame for the condition in which both items arrived. To their everlasting credit Amazon took care of the problems with nary a hitch, and they did it all within one business week!! I would still purchase a Da-Lite Picture King without a second thought but I would be very wary of the actual merchant and the shipping company. Only direct-from-Amazon for me from now on.

Works pretty good

This cream works very nicely on my eyes. I mainly bought it because it has the copper peptides that everyone seems to be raving about. I see some improvements however, i think that with any skin care products you need to give it a few months to see true results.Also i noticed that this cream can irritate so make sure you put only a little. I went crazy putting on extra daily out of desperation lol and i felt a burning irritation around my eyes. Still a good cream but you may want to shop around to see what else is out there.

One of a few quality products still manufactured in America ...

Once upon a time, American manufacturing was the envy of the world. Without getting into all the reasons that's no longer the case, when it came time for me to get a tripod projection screen, I was very happy to see that the Da-Lite company is still manufacturing an American classic: the "Picture King." Da-Lite and a number of other manufacturers make a cheaper version of this size screen, and most of us have seen what happens to them in normal use. The screen material is thin and funky, the tripod and adjustment hardware fall apart, and the screen quickly becomes a headache to set up and use. Don't waste your money on cheaper versions ... just spend a bit more and get the Picture King. You'll be glad you did.The Picture King is well designed and constructed with durable, quality materials, and will last a lifetime if properly used and cared for. The tripod, screen housing, center posts and adjustment hardware are all aluminum or steel, and tough as nails. It's a bit big and heavy, so it requires some strength to carry around, but nothwithstanding its heft, it's very easy to set up, and provides a great, stable projection surface for just about all viewing conditions.To set it up, you pick the screen up by its VERY beefy metal handle and set it on the tripod end; touch the toe release at the base of the tripod assembly; the tripod legs unlock and spread out by themselves; you rotate the screen housing to a horizontal position; pull up the center post and lock it in place at your desired height; pull the screen up and hang its handle on the clip at the top of the center post, and you're good to go. The center post has plenty of fixed height settings at both the top and bottom of the screen. and use the "keystone" adjuster to tip the top of the screen toward the projection source, if needed. While the maximum size of the screen is 70 x 70 in. square, it's simple to adjust it for letterbox or wide screen formats, e.g., by just pulling less of the screen up out of its housing.When you're ready to put it away, it folds up securely and neatly -- there's a fixed clip and corresponding button that holds the screen handle in place against the center handle; a pin at the top of the center post that fits in a hole at the top end of the screen housing to lock it parallel with the folded tripod, and another lock at the bottom of the tripod assembly that holds the folded tripod legs in place against the center post.The screen material is thick and durable, which you can also sponge off with mild soap and water if you ever have to. I got mine with the basic "Matte White" finish, but Da-Lite makes the Picture King with several other types of screen material as well, and their website fully explains how the materials differ.My Amazon purchase was flawless. Amazon had the best price and shipping options, hands-down. The item arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I also got the 70-inch cover bag from Da-Lite, and I strongly recommend that anyone getting the Picture King spend the extra 30 bucks for this invaluable accessory. It will extend the service life of your screen indefinitely, protecting it from dust and scratches. So far, I'm delighted with both.

Very sturdy projector screen

It was a choice between its less expensive cousin of the same size (around $86 on Amazon) and this one. Since this projector screen will be handled by many people, I thought that it would be wiser to invest into something sturdier. And that's what I got.It's very well constructed. For example, once set up, the screen does not move or sway at all because of the folding sturdy tripod legs. The instruction sheet is a bit outdated but you don't have to be an engineer to figure it out. I still gave it the highest rating because I was impressed with the manufacturer's tech support: I chatted on line with them and got my question resolved in no time at all.I'll close with an anecdote. It was shipped in a very sturdy box. When opened, the metal casing for the screen has a big dent. Clearly, that probably happened at the factory. I returned it to Amazon: a pick-up was arranged and a replacement was sent out very quickly. It came just two days after I was notified that they received the returned merchandise.A very satisfied customer.

Great Screen!

Our training staff does many trainings in the rural areas and small towns around us. This product is an excellent presentation screen and a VERY sturdy product. It will withstand the abuse of loading & unloading from company vehicles for many years. The tradeoff, of course, is that it is rather heavy and some of the women complain about it! But they love that it is rock stable with no wobble. Overall, a very good product.

This 8 line fax board is the best, most reliable fax board I ever owned.I never had one problem with it. It is using Agere modems onboard, and handshake very well with all types of fax machines. Multi-tech gets A+ for this one heck of a quality product!Uses: Fax Blasting, or Fax Server and maybe other uses. But thats what I used it for.

An excellent screen

I ordered this for our church, looking to replace a decades-old DaLite which finally gave up the ghost. We're using this at church for projecting from a video projector. The screen is very well constructed, nice and solid. My only misgiving is the plastic lever used to spring out the tripod legs. It looks like it won't survive maybe 200 openings, but we'll see.The screen itself is of the typical excellent DaLite quality, very bright white and good visibility from both all angles. I'd buy another one again without question.

Telescoping Handle Cannot Be Repaired!

I bought this for zooming between my office and classroom at the university, and it was perfect. It was so nice to bring office supplies, files, heavy dictionaries, etc... without worrying about shoulder stress from a heavy bag.I was surprised when the telescoping handle broke, and I was truly stunned when the company did not care. I offered to BUY a replacement part, but they had nothing available.I had purchased the limited edition black leather one, so it was an expensive purchase. Crop In Style just said that it was reasonable for the item to become unusable after two years.If you think the price is reasonable for a year or two, then you will like it. If you expect it to last for five or ten years or be repairable, stay away!

Great bang for your buck! So many activities!

Wow! This is a new Fisher Price toy that I hadn't heard of before - but knew I had to have it when I saw it. My daughter loves to crawl in and out of things, so I thought this would be a great floor level toy that might keep her interest. This was purchased for her first birthday and I think we are still discovering new buttons and such! There are so many activities and interesting things on this toy that I think the price was a real bargain! The house numbers, the rain gutter, the radio, the clock, the window, the mailbox, etc, etc! There are sounds for nearly every activity, and even the sounds can be changed depending upon what setting the radio is on. My daughters current favorite place in the "house" is the mail box. She loves putting the mail in and out of it. She gets very excited and just chatters away at this toy - crawling in and out of the door and listening as it "creaks" open and then "slams" shut. The toy overall seems to focus mostly on the concept of opposites (night/day, up/down, open/close, etc) and numbers.

There are two volume settings - the lower one being just loud enough for her to hear it while she is playing (thank you Fisher Price!) and the other much louder. On the lower setting, I cannot hear it unless I am sitting at the toy with her.

I just can't say enough about all the activites - I expect that this will be a toy she can play with for a long time without getting bored of it!

Awesome Toy

I bought this for my daughter on her first birthday and she absolutely LOVES it! I also bought the bird bath to go with it and am currently looking for the telephone that goes with it also. It's great to see a toy today where you can add accessories to it that enhance to their learning experience. She will literally play with this toy for hours. There are SO MANY activities that keep her busy and she rarely gets bored. There is always something new to discover. And by the time she's finished with one side, she finds out there is a whole other side with things to do. I got tired of spending alot of money on big toys that didn't do very much. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend this toy.

Just Right

The multimeter works just as advertised - I have an '81 Westy, and everything that I need to check (dwell, charging system, tach, impedance, and much more) can be done with this product. The instruction manual is well written, and the leads with aligator clips as well as probes are easy to use. Forget the high-priced, gee-whiz, cook-your-breakfast models if all you need is a utilitarian tool.

The Actron CP7676 Digital Multimeter is useful except the battery is screw in. You need to unscrew to replace the battery.The function and display are the best part. It's clear and easy to use. I used it for car repair. Although I didn't fix my car, it gave me a lot of clue for what's not the problem. Overall I like this product.

Expected more....

Already have a couple of mbs. Due to the lots of comments regarding this 145 i was very excited to have this one as well. When i finally bought it...well...a little bit disappointing. Don't know if because of the pen itself or the fact that the product announced did not exactly correspond to what was announced - according to the pictures posted it was supposed to be a special edition with a nice box, a cd, etc - actually i got a very std box and that's it. Had to call the seller latter to ask for the other items not sent ( box, cd) and apparently only the cd was sent... A little frustrating and disappointing...

Excellent binoculars, just be sure you need them

This is the armored versions of the Nikon Action 7 X 50 binocular, so most of the comments you read about those will apply to these as well. I have owned these for several years now and I have enjoyed them immensely. The field of vision is good, but not fantastic. Clarity is unbelievable. But where they REALLY excel is in low light viewing (see chart above on main page). I can easily see things in the dark that my naked eye just can't grab, and I have excellent night vision. Amazing how much I miss without these.Why I say be sure that you need them is that you pay a fifty dollar premium over the Action 7 X 50. This buys you rubberized armor for bumps, water-proofing and fog-proofing. This also means you won't get condensation inside when going from hot to cold or visa-versa. If you get in and out of your car or house a lot, use binoculars outdoors in the mist or rain, or take them through brush, it's worth the extra money. If you look at things through your window or only in good weather, save your money and get the Action 7 X 50 or some other good binoculars.In choosing a Nikon binocular, refer to the chart above on the main page to see what suits your needs. I didn't like the 7 X 35's, but they get great reviews, (I'll review them on their own page), so make sure you try them out first if possible.

These are an excellent VALUE

I have a lot of binoculars and these are among the finest. Because they are 7X50, they MUST be large and heavy. If you are going to carry them around for extended distance and don't need the light passing attributes, go for some 7X35's, which will be a lot easier to carry. I have 7X35 (German lens) Leupold's which are the best binoculars I own and an 8X40 waterproof pair which are great. I also have 8X40 Bushnell Audubon non-waterproof 8X40's which are nice but can't be used in the rain. They all, with the exception of the Bushnell's, cost more than these NIKONS. I was employed in a line of work that often required binoculars and they issued us junk, so I am picky, now in the extreme. Cheap binoculars will give you actual headaches and be real hard on your eyes because they are not regulated (point to the same exact area). Do not buy junky binoculars for anyone, even children or you will be sorry and out money for nothing.THESE BINOCULARS, FOR WHAT THEY ARE CAN'T BE BEATEN FOR VALUE. I hope this helps you!

Soothing Sound

I have had my my fountain for several years and still love the musical and soothing sound. I usually use distilled water, but sometimes tap water. I have had no discoloration whatsoever. The bowl is a beautiful copper. Since it is metal I can see how it might be more susceptible to minerals in water, but I would think that a bit of vinegar water on a cloth would restore it easily. I found that I do have to spend a little time getting the bells properly positioned for the best effect. The effort is absolutely worth it, however, to get the end result. Other fountains can become annoying, but not this one. I have been known to keep it going continuously for days at a time, providing me with a melodious and soothing background for any activity I am doing.

The relaxing sounds of chimes and electric pumps!

The fountain setup is a little bit more complicated I originally thought. At first I could not get the bells to chime, it took a couple of minutes of trial and error on the flow rate to get the chimes to hit each other. While it is possible to control the flow rate of the fountain to hear either the chimes or the water, but it doesn't appear to be able to do both chimes and water sounds. But what I dislike most though is the noise of the water pump. The humming sound it makes is louder than I expected and tends to drown out the sounds of the chimes. Not the relaxing sounds I was expecting! Adjusting the flow rate and speed of the pump did nothing to fix the noise. If the pump were silent I would rate this item higher.

Never could get the bells to work right

I have some Woodstock bells for the patio, so I thought this would be great. It wasn't. No matter what I tried, I never could get the bells to go around and strike one another properly. I feel like this product was definitely not worth its price.
