Attractive dog dish at good height for lab...

I bought this to replace a more table style raised dish holder that was getting damaged from water and was a pain to keep clean. I got the 3-quart size and the dishes seem *huge* to me. I'm going to keep it, but I would get the 2-quart if I had it to do over. The larger size is nice for water, but laughable for my 70-pound dog's usual food serving which barely covers the bottom of the dish. The wrought iron scrollwork is attractive, but I left off a star because one of the legs was a bit bent. I also think that this product should cost much less for what it is.

Do not purchase Storkcraft products. I checked everything and Storkcraft rated so well in safety, but getting a product that looks new is impossible. We have to keep returning our Storkcraft products because they are shipped broken. The pieces that are not broken are poor quality - for example, the finish is sloppy and does not cover the whole piece. Unless you want to pay full price for a nursery that looks like it was put together from a cheap garage sale, stay way from Storkcraft. This may be why Babys R Us does not carry much of this anymore.

Nice quality in person

We just assembled this last night and so far so good! It looks great in person - I love the sleigh look of it. It seems like good quality although we have not used it yet since baby is not here yet. The drawer seems sturdy and will come in handy. The only thing is the two shelves are made out of a semi-flimsy white material (not wood) but when you secure the shelves in the wood sides, they are very sturdy. Once you put items on the shelves you don't notice them either. I think most changing tables use the same materials for the bottom shelves.Also warning - do not buy a contoured changing pad with this! It comes with a thin, but perfect fit changing pad and strap. We bought the contoured changing pad thinking that would work but it's too high for the top (covers the nice scalloped design on the back) and you can't screw in the pad because of that scalloped thing. You need a changing table dresser or one that has no decorative piece on the top in order to fit a contoured pad.

Shipping and changing table review

The only thing that I found wrong with this so far is that when I recieved it, it was broke. The left hand bar at the end of the table was broke, and the dowel was stuck in the spot wher it should have been. My husband had to bore out the spot where it should be placed and then replace the dowels. It looked like someone had previously had the changing table and returned it and they sent it out to whom ever ordered it again next.

I finally settled on this product. I just couldn't beat the price (132.98) cardomain.com was offering. (They threw in everything I needed to install the unit.)After owning this product for a week, I very much enjoy it. It would have gotten five stars were it not for the following:1) The lack of mid-range control. The different sound field settings (cEQ) more than compensates but it should still have that very easily included function.2) Radio reception is poor in the hills. My factory radio worked much better. However this didn't factor in much because I don't use the radio very often. Please be aware that when tuning the radio, it defaults to an automatic seek mode. You have to go through the mode settings to turn on the manual tuning feature but it only lasts about 5 seconds. So when you are traveling and want to listen to a station, be aware that you may have trouble manually tuning in to a station.3) I like the radio but the red coloring on the buttons is hideous and there is a ton of glare from the display in sunlight. The white and blue coloring of the display doesn't match the red buttons. Very ugly. Yes, I am nit-picking.4) The controls are very good with one small exception, getting to some of the menu items can require you to take your eyes off the road too long. This too is a small issue because I have simply adapted to the unit as you very well could.There are major upsides:1) The price is unbeatable. Everywhere I looked, this unit could be had for less than $130 and there are some places tossing in free shipping or free installation equipment. You shouldn't pay more than $135 plus s/h for this unit.2) This unit is related to the very formidable JVC "Arsenal" series. The major differences are that the arsenal series is satellite radio ready and can control a jvc cd changer. Other than that and some display differences these are the same.I don't know about you but I don't plan on getting satellite radio and with the mp3 capability, having a changer is pointless, unless you find having your cd collection on 15 mp3 cd's and having to manually put in a cd to big of a job for you. Consider this radio, "Arsenal Lite". Sounds great, less money.3) This unit has a great sound. Even with the factory speakers, this things absolutely rocks. This alone is enough to offset the shortcomings. Your highs will come through clearly and your lows will come through even better.4) There are also preamps outputs so if you are deaf, you can get more sound out of this unit. Don't forget that this unit also has a loudness control.5) There is also a dimmer control. You can control the display ugliness a little bit.6) This unit, sound for sound, stacks up well against the likes of Sony, Pioneer, and Kenwood. (One salesman told me that JVC gets their tuner part of the receiver from Pioneer.)I don't think you can go wrong with this unit.

Amazing!

Let me first say that I didn't know the first thing about car audio systems when I bought this. All I knew was that I needed a CD player in my 2000 Ford Taurus Wagon, and I wasn't going to spend over 200 dollars on it. Luckily, the guy at Best Buy was helpful and probably honest because they don't work for commission.I was attracted to the fact that it has a volume knob as opposed to up/down buttons, and the colors are pretty cool. The fact that it plays MP3s and CD-RWs clinched it, and at $149.99 it was below my limit. I had it installed for free within the day, and haven't had any problems yet. It makes my factory speakers sound much better and more powerful than before.

If you own a Beatrice Combo Unit this is great addition!

I ordered this hutch from Walmart. Cost me $107.00 with tax and shipping and it arrived in a little over a week. The box came in very nicely packaged so no pieces where damaged. It took me (I am 5.5 month pregnant now) less than 30 minutes to put it together, and I only needed my husband to lift it up and put it on top of the dresser.The hutch looks great and it is very functional. It screws to the dresser so you don't have to worry about it falling. (The directions indicated to only screw it on the bottom in one corner, but extra screws were provided and we decided to screw the hutch all the way across to the dresser for extra stability) The back panel can be easily drilled for holes in case you want to put a stereo on one of the shelves and need a hole for a cord. The shelves are tall so they fit all kinds of books. This is a great alternative to a bookshelf, which would take up room on the floor. You can also use the top of the hutch for storage or decorative pieces.GREAT BUY.

Adds lots of storage!

I picked out the Beatrice changing table for my son's nursery, but couldn't find the matching white hutch at any of the stores that sold the changing table. I was very happy to find it at a good price on Amazon. It arrived very quickly, in good condition, with all parts. It was very easy to put together (though there were lots of screws! But I guess that's a good thing). I love all the extra storage the hutch provides! It's a small room, so being able to add storage without using up more floor space was a big plus! The shelves aren't very deep, but I was able to easily fit baskets, toys and books on the shelves. My only complaint would be that the hutch is not as wide as the changing table, so adding the hutch took away from the space on top of the changer. Our changing pad is a little scrunched, but it did fit. Overall, I am very pleased with the price, product and overall experience.

We purchased this to go on top of the Beatrice dresser/changing station for my son. It's beautiful. Yes, it does need to be assembled, but we didn't have any trouble with that. My husband was able to do it all by himself and he's not mechanically inclined at all.The wood finish is very smooth and beautiful. We liked it so much, we purchased another one for our second son's room.

Excellent hardware, shame about the software.

This drive is marketed by Iomega as primarily an archival solution, but it is also great as a kind of floppy drive for the 21st Century (a super Zip drive). The hardware is faultless - a massive improvement on the deeply flawed Peerless drive - and the Iomega REV disks seem robust: I send one overseas though the mail once a week, have it returned the following week, and so far without any reliability problems.However, it is as a backup solution that I purchased my Rev drive and in this context the whole is let down by the supplied backup software. Iomega's Rev-enabled versions of Backup Pro and Ghost just don't make the grade for serious backups. I soon gave up trying to make sense of Backup Pro and getting it to work consistently. Instead, I bought a copy of Dantz Retrospect 6.5 Professional, for about $90. Now, I make perfect daily backups.For the cost of this drive, why doesn't Iomega bundle a copy (perhaps limited) of Retrospect?

One of the best backup solutions I've found

The drive is fast, efficiant, reliable, and once saved my life because I'd backed up a whole hard drive of a laptop on to it - a laptop which then got left by an open window during a sudden downpour. I've tried a whole host of backup solutions over the years, this is the only one that allows you to take an image of an entire hard drive in about 35 minutes (15 GB of data: my last solution took nearly four hours to do this) and store it somewhere safe, for a rainy day.

One BIG Zip Disk

This is being marketed as a backup solution, and that's fine, it's a great one and, depending upon what you're using, maybe a little expensive. However, don't overlook (and this isn't obvious at all from their marketing) that this is still just like one very fast, and, very, VERY BIG password protected Zip Drive! Iomega has finally delivered what they promised (and NEVER delivered at 2.0 USB!!!) with the Peerless several years ago. This unit is really small -- the disks are smaller than Zip disks -- and if they keep up with their plans of doubling the capacity every 18 months or so, they may really be onto something. Installation was totally unremarkable and exactly as promised. It comes with a version of Norton Ghost made especially for the Rev. Following the included directions step-by-step re: the Ghost backup is very important.

I bought the tower despite the bad reviews and so far I think I made a great decision. I didn't buy it at Babies R Us, but chose another vendor instead that offered free shipping and ended up costing a bit less. I ordered the tower on 10/28/05 and it arrived 11/23/05, which wasn't a problem since I knew that Stork craft products tend to take awhile to ship, so I ordered early. The box came in perfect condition and when we took it apart all the pieces where undamaged, in great condition and there was nothing missing.It took my mom and I (I am 5 months pregnant) an hour to put it together, the directions where easy to follow and the assembly was a piece of cake. The only difficulty is to screw on the back panel. There were a million screws, so have your electric screwdriver handy. Also be careful with those screws the tolerances are very close and the wood is soft so is you don't screw them in just right you may end up with screws sticking out. We simply redid them and now there are a few chips in the back of the tower, nothing to worry about.Upside* Looks absolutely amazing. The wood is beautiful and shiny, the design is elegant and looks great in the room* The drawers are deep and allow for lots of storage. Easy to take out and are finished with white on the inside for a very clean and appealing look.* The side cabinet is great. Shelves can easily come out to allow for larger items to be stored. Might be a good place for a diaper genie...* Very sturdy and heavy, and as a bonus comes with a wall attachment so that you don't have to worry about it tipping when the little one starts walking.* The top of the tower can be used as a changing table, or you can buy a hatch that can be easily attached for additional storage.* Very easy to assemble, everything is predrilled and the directions are super easy.Downside* The wood is very soft, so you have to be careful during assembly not to chip or damage the pieces.* While most of the tower is very sturdy the back panel is made out of flimsy material and the screws are a pain to use. In hint sight we should have nailed the back panel.Overall absolutely great product. Functional and looks really beautiful. I suggest ordering elsewhere and ordering early, in case there are problems.

Great for the money!

This is a sturdy, beautiful, functional piece. We purchased this combo, the hutch, 5 drawer dresser and Rochester crib. I put this together myself in about 45 minutes and I am 6 months pregnant. I have not assembled the hutch yet, since the nursery is not yet complete, but I can't wait to see it together! I am very pleased with my purchase. It looks exactly as shown, although the oak was a little darker than I expected.I'll post my review on the crib when I get it together!

Storkcraft Not Worth the Headache

My wife and I ordered this combo changing tower along with the matching crib and armoire, and we were EXTREMELY unsatisfied with ALL 3! All 3 pieces came with parts broken, and this changing tower came without a single fastener in the entire box. We returned the armoire and changing tower to try again, but when we got the second shipment in, we had the exact same problem again. The crib had enough pieces in tact that we were able to only order replacement parts. However, the replacement parts also came broken. In 6 attempts to ship us furniture, Storkcraft failed miserably all 6 times.

This IS a great printer...

I have to agree with the other review and say that this is a great printer. For about nine months now I have been using this printer in an office where it is networked to 6 PCs. Everyone in the office is pleased with the speed and quality of the print jobs handled by this machine. I also agree that this printer's main strength is as a "network" printer. It is easily connected to your network and can be left "ready and waiting" all the time.About the only downside to this thing is that if you haven't sent a print job in a while (like overnight) it takes the printer a good while to warm up (10-15 seconds). Once it is warmed up though, it really cranks the pages out fast.If you have a need for a solid quality, networked printer that has some high end print features, this is the machine for you!

Wow, suprisingly good

We purchased this printer for a home office with both Macs and PCs. This printer has terrific Macintosh OSX support and is easily monitored/controlled using it's website interface (automatically appears in Safari's bookmarks toolbar if you turn on the Safari Rendezvous preference). This printer is very fast to warm up and prints the first page in about 10 seconds. I like that it is absolutely silent when in standby mode and wakes/sleeps on its own. My only problem is that I haven't yet determined if there's a better way to switching duplex printing on/off other than via the web control panel.

great usable laser printer

This is a decent printer for what you get. The main feature I use is the network connection. I easily connected it to my network in the other room where it was convenient, and leave it turned on and plugged in all the time. It uses very little power when on standby. Then, when I want to print, I can do it from any machine in the house and very quickly (I think in 10 seconds) it starts churning out the pages.It has lots of hidden features you have to pay more for with other printers. You can configure it with a web interface. It is postscript/pcl compatible and I think it'll work with linux if you mess around with it.I also have a canon inkjet printer which is very good for photos, but I don't use it anywhere near as often because I have to plug it into my apple laptop, turn it on, load the photo paper and (sometimes) do a cleaning cycle.The brother printer is just always there ready to print within 10 seconds. It's like the difference between logging into your ISP with dialup and having always-connected dsl.

Very Nice Dresser

This dresser is exactly what one would get if not wanting to spend a lot of money. It's extremely affordable, easy to put together, nice finish, and does the job. It's not top of the line where you would spend $500. plus. You get what you pay for. I am exteremly pleased with this product. It matches the other pieces in the room very will. Shipping was very fast and when it arrived packaging was great. I constructed it in less than an hour. There are no "tools" that come with this dresser. It is called "hardware" I put it together with one screwdriver. Everyone who gave this dresser one star is an idiot! They seem to want five star product at a one star price. Complaining on how to put it together, what its's made of and so on, Blah, Blah, Blah. This is not rocket science people. Stop bitching about crap and get a clue! You want top quality? spend top money! As for me, I would buy this again and yes it's worth what I paid for it. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Great Dresser

I was very indecisive about purchasing the 4 drawer or the 3 drawer dresser. I plan to use it as a changing table but wanted enough space to store things. I decided to go with the 4 drawer so I had enough space and it's a perfect size. Some pictures of this dresser make it look a little off-white but it's truly white. The instructions were easy to follow and went together great and fairly quickly (2 hours from unpacking to carrying it to the room). The dresser seems a little fragile as I already have a very small chip in the paint but overall I think this was a great purchase.

A little cracked up

When I received the box it was packaged very well. When it was assembled there was a cracked along side the right of the chest, the part where it holds the drawers together and also scratched in the front of the chest. I was a little fustrated because now it has to be taken apart and then I have to replace those two pieces and the company would not only send the defective parts. I now have to wait until I get the chest and take out what i need and send the whole thing back with my two defective parts.I am a little crazed and would not recommend, I also had other problems with the company as well.

Was delivered on the first day of the expected delivery window.The assembly instructions were enough but could have been edited better by an English speaking person. The pictures were of great help. The result was exactly what I wanted and what was pictured on the site.

Best Scalp Massage Ever

Have had the Mason Pearson nylon/bristle version of this brush which has been excellent for thick long hair, but should not be used on wet hair. So I got this one to fill that gap, but the stimulation this thing gives to the scalp borders on the indecent. Also a great detangler.

Love my detangling brush!

I have very fine, fragile hair and have always used cheap drugstore brushes to detangle it when wet (combs just seem to add more tangles). I heard good things about the Mason Pearson brand and my mother had a Mason Pearson boar bristle brush from the time she was a teenager to when I was in elementary school (>10 years). I ordered this brush as a replacement as my last brush was starting to fall apart and break my hair.What you get: The brush arrives in a very nice, antique style box. The brush appears exactly as in the photos. The nylon bristle tufts are graduated in length and gentle to the skin, yet are firm and get to the scalp at the same time. There is another small, black square brush included that is intended to be used to clean the white brush of hair (a brush for a brush? Who knew?). Last but not least are instructions on the care and use of your brush.Pros: Detangles my hair in just a few strokes, cut my styling time. Easy cleanup and maintenance (the little brush does a great job of getting all the hair out of the white brush). Feels solid to the touch and the old fashioned look of the brush has a nice aesthetic charm. I've had mine for about a month and no bristle loss.Cons: There are a lot of warnings in the box about protecting the red rubber from excessive sunlight, chemicals, grease, oil, radioactive waste (just kidding!). If you have any of those things in your styling environment, this brush may not live as long for you. Also, this brush cannot be submerged in water due to it's design.Overall impression: Cute, solid little detangling brush. Does a good job at what it's supposed to do on my fine hair. Just be careful if you have lots of stuff in your environment that might eat the rubber pad away.
