5AWESOME PERFORMANCE
By Brian R. Stuart
This DVD player has been worth the money. Granted, it is more expensive than many others, but read the reviews on others...they all have problems. The Sony 665 has problems and Consumer Reports wasn't impressed with picture quality. Pansonics have glitches with playback, JVCs are almost as expensive...there is a new Toshiba out that might be worth considering.

The video and audio on this player are impressive...and I've had a Toshiba and Panasonic 5-disc changer in the past. The audio out of this player (digital connection to a Yamaha receiver) is incredible, much better than the others. There is a button for random play on the remote. I read people complaining about the noise on the Onkyo 701...there isn't a noise issue on the 702. People also complained of long times to change discs on the 701 and 702...this is still ture but it is no slower than the Panasonic F87 (which I owned and returned) and the F87 claims to have a fast disk exchange.

Having the 6th disk is nice and ordering it through Amazon/Crutchfield is an added bonus. The player arrived 24 hours after I ordered and I used the free/standard shipping. The item shipped from the east coast, so if you live out west, you might have to wait a day or two.

Great product, no complaints, looks sharp, awesome performace. Highly recommend, despite the price.

5Great DVD Changer
By A Customer
I needed a new player and decided to go with a changer (oh, I'm so glad I did. They are so much more convienent than the single disc players). I wanted a quality player that didn't make a spinning noise when playing discs. I was tired of hearing spinning noise at quiet points in the movies. I also wanted a player that had quality slow motion capabilities and progressive scanning.

I did the research, shopped around, and talked to people and I settled on this model from Onkyo. Everything I was hoping for in my player has been realized.

Only complaint is that the remote is not "ergonomically" designed and has no backlight. But that said, the remote is more sturdy and of better quality than some ergonomically/backlit remotes i've had. And the Onkyo remote has more "quick access" remote buttons. A single button leads you right where you want to get to. For example, while watching a movie, if I missed some dialogue, I can just hit the "Subtitles" button on the remote and rewind a little to see it again with subtitles. Hit same button again to turn off the subtitles. So the remote is good too but not awesome in intuitive layout/placement of buttons. But the remote is also the least important thing to me because if it is a serious problem one can always get a universal "high-tech" remote if they don't already have one.

Best DVD player I've owned yet. I'm totally happy with it. i wanted to write this to let others know my experience who might also be wondering about this player. Good luck in your selection.

4Nice Changer but Lacking SA-CD or DVD-Audio Playback
By Ol Man by the Sea
I love the ONKYO product line, they have great features for the money, but unfortunately the high-definition playback modes offered by newer technology such as Super Audio - CD (SACD) or DVD-Audio is only available on the DV-CP802 model or higher, which comes in a price point almost twice that of the DV-CP702 at a current market price as of 12/04 of approximately $500.00 US. - Otherwise the DV-CP702 is an excellent choice.

5Spectacular Cologne! Head-turning Scent Exuding Class, Sophistication, and Confidence!
By Han
Hi,I highly recommend this cologne to anyone interested in creating a lasting impression, one that proclaims sophistication, professionalism, classiness, and power. I have had plenty of women and men curiously compliment the smell of the cologne, which essentially, is the purpose of the cologne--to draw attention, thus creating a higher self-confidence in yourself. Many people have not heard of Creed, and are quite intrigued to know that Green Irish Tweed was distinctively made for Cary Grant, one of Hollywood's most classy and famous actors of the 50s and 60s. During the classic Hollywood era, certain smells were created to distinguish between actors and actresses. Each had their own cologne or perfume, very much like how each actor/actress have a trademark personality type. Creed was a leading manufacturer of creating trademark cologne/perfumes for the classic Hollywood actors and actresses.Again, I am very much glad that I came across Creed's Green Irish Tweed. I have received many compliments because of it and it is always nice to know you are smelling nice. I would recommend a 4 fl. oz bottle because you will love the smell, absolutely. There are many websites that offer good deals for a 120 ML/ 4 fl. oz bottle of Green Irish Tweed, (Google it) and do not spend more than 85.00 because you can certainly get it for cheaper, although you will still find it worth it once your nose experiences G.I.T. :)

3Not as good as prior model
By E. Mason
We ordered the prior model of this wagon before Christmas when it had steel wheels. It arrived damaged in shipping and now is no longer available. Now the wheels are plastic. Plastic doesn't last. If you're selling something as a "classic", then it should be made the same way.

4great gift
By B. J. Oliveri
I bought 2, one for each of my grandsons but turned out to be a useful family gift. Easy to assemble and was much larger than I expected for the price. My daughters haul my grandkids, can easily fit 2 per wagon, to the park or my house. Kids are too young to do more than enjoy the rides for now but wagons are so well built I expect they will still be around when kids are old enough to play with them as well as in them. Big negative shocker was the mailing charges.

5Earns the Title Classic
By Katherine A. Zagone
Purchased the Radio Flyer little red wagon for my two year son for Christmas. We all love it! It is perfect for all our needs. Our son pulls his stuffed animals, toys, dirt, rocks around with ease. I appreciate the steering and the turning radius on the wagon, it enable our son to maneuver the wagon on this own. As we all know this is very important to two year olds!Mom and Dad love it for haul the child on longer walks, were we can pick up the pace and get in dome exercise. It also makes running errands around the neighborhood great! The wagon is large enough for our son and two bags of groceries. We live in the rainy Northwest and have on occasion left the wagon out side, no rust or water damage. There is a reason this wagon is a classic!Note: I would also purchase the pad as well.

5Old scent always young
By Gerald L. Collatz
My wife just loves this scent and was unable to find it for a long tilme. When we discovered it on Amazon, she begged me to order two bottles. I thought that her supply was almost depleted, but after the new stuff arrived, I checked and she had over 3/4 of a bottle left from her previous purchase. Once you get stuck on something you like, it is hard to shake off. I count that as a personal advantage.

4Nice piece of glass.
By Boris
I was salivating for this lens for four months and finally bought one a few weeks ago from the Amazon. I was very excited and couldn't wait to put this glass on my 20D.First impression I got was that this lens is not that heavy as 3.7 pounds may seem, but boy I was wrong about that. It feels solidly built and looks not that huge on the body. So there we go... After filling up my 1GB CF with shots (taken outside, inside with external flash and without, with different f-stops and all range of zooms) and closely examining the results I decided to write this review with which I did not try to downplay the qualities of this piece of art, just to share my humble opinion.Pros:All in one solution (well may be except super wide)Under most light conditions the lens performs as expected which is very goodGreat zoom range that converts to 45-460mm on APS-C bodiesNice color saturation and contrast, gorgeous bokehPush pull zoom (for some may not) which allows lightning fast zoom changeFocusing distance only 0.7 meter for any zoom range!IS is doing a great job on longer exposure timesQuiet and fast focusing, never had a hunting problemIncluded lens case is of good qualityCons:Painfully heavy (you start to feel it after an hour or so)Pricy the much more suitable price would be around $1700.00Softness in pictures at the 28 and 300mm range with fully opened aperture.Focusing ring is too close to tightening ring so when you trying to loosen the tension inadvertently you may change the focus.Very inconvenient to loosen tightening ring with one hand almost always had to do it with both handsAperture falls fast to f/5.6 somewhere in the 85-100mm range.200 and 300mm ranges are too close to each other which makes it hard to adjust to precise zoom and it's causing overshoot. At the very end (300mm) lens gets stuck and you have to use force to push it back, and that's prevents you from gradually and smoothly change the zoom in between 180-300mm. I heard it's because it's new and this will go away. The lens hood is barely sufficient at 28mm and almost completely useless at 300mm.The shoulder strap is very narrow and will definitely pinch a nerve if you carry the lens case around your neck or shoulderOverall it's a great solution if you only want to carry one lens and if you want to travel "light" but really don't know what focal lengths are required. But still I decided to return mine back and replace it with EF 24-105 L IS USM f/4 and EF 70-200 L USM f/2.8. as it's performance did not live up to my expectations for such high price and inconvenience to carry such a heavy load on your shoulder all day around.

4Optimal event photography lens
By David
I shoot mostly family events and softball games, specifically candids, so this lens is ideal for me.---[ CONS ]---[1] Soft at 28mm wide open. (major)My biggest complaint is it's consistently soft at 28mm and f/3.5. Too soft for my taste. The shots look "dreamy". I often forget to zoom out a little or drop the aperture when shooting wide angle and end up disappointed in the results. I've seen it on the 20D, 5D2, and 7D so it's not the camera. It's a bummer because the wide angle is often what I want on a crop factor camera.[2] Weight. (major)Your arm will probably hurt after shooting for a few hours, especially with its push/pull it gets long so your arm is extended holding all that weight. There hasn't been a person yet I let try the lens that didn't immediately say "wow, that's heavy". I read that in the reviews and thought "na, I can handle it". Nope. I must admit I had to take breaks. It's painful to shoot video with extended arms as you look at the video back/screen. It's not for the timid.[3] Cost. (average)$2k+ for a non "fast" lens? Come on canon - make us a 28-300mm f/2.8L! :-) *BUT* ultimately you get what you pay for; I'm constantly impressed with the image quality this lens can produce and 300mm is a really fun focal length.[4] Length. (average)Fully extended it's awkward to hold at times. Especially at first when you attempt to fine tune the range but eventually I got the hang of it.[5] Slow low-light AF. (average)It hunts in doors, especially at the higher zoom. But to be fair it's got quite alot of range to cover. It's quick enuff in the 28-70 range. I do find I can't shoot sports at dusk or indoors with very good results; it's not a 70-200mm f/2.8 L replacement for this case.[6] Push/Pull (minor).I wasn't a big fan at first but love it now. It's the right mechanism to control so much range. It allows you to get the zoom VERY quickly. Again, great for candids.[7] Fast range fall off (minor).I'd say 50% of the physical range is 28-90 and the last 50% is 90-300. It falls off especially fast from 200-300. I find it hard to get anything in between. It slams to the 300 and it's a bit of a trick (at first) to pull it back a little. 300 is so much zoom I find myself often in too close and then needing to fiddle to back off a bit, loosing a second or so which might loose the shot.[8] Min focal distance is a tad too long (minor).I find myself having to physically back away from people when shooting 28mm. I guess Im spoiled by the 24-70.---[ NEUTRAL ]---[1] Not inconspicuous. The lens is white and massive so just about everyone will notice you. The pro is people will take you seriously and it can be fun to talk shop. The con is that it's harder to blend in so it makes getting some of those more candid shots more difficult.---[ PROS ]---[1] Image quality. Is as good as my 24-70mm f/2.8L. Sharpness, color, contrast, etc. It's definitely an L-series. I'm consistently impressed at the results coming from this lens.[2] Range. The big feature for this particular lens is that I'm ready to shoot anything and I needn't change lenses. The ability to shoot close then zoom in on the action and then back out is a great sense of freedom you've just got to experience if you like to shoot events! It's the do anything lens.[3] Fast AF.AF is L-series fast outdoors with sufficent light.[4] Image stabilization. The IS on this lens is absolutely amazing. At 300mm its like someone grabbed the lens to help stablize it. Indoors it's actually amazing as well. At 70mm with my f/2.8L I might have had 1/60 shutter and I may only get 1/20 with the 28-300 BUT with the IS the shot isn't blurry (with a steady hand). Ironically I'm seeing less blurry shots indoors than with my 24-70 which doesnt have IS.[5] Bokeh. The blurred backdrop at 300mm is stunning. It's very pro looking. True it's not as smooth as the 70-200 f/2.8L but it's stunning anyway.[6] Fun.This lens is just fun to shoot! I find myself shooting twice as many shots than with the 24-70mm. The range unlocks so many more shoots I just couldn't get before.[7] Tightening ring.A nice touch; very useful.[8] Rugged. The upside of it's weight is it's built like a tank so I needn't worry about banging this $2k+ piece of glass against something or scratching it.[9] Switch placement.BTW, I dont find the placement of the switches to be a problem like some other reviews. I think they must be close because you can't put them on the barrel since it moves - unlike the 70-200.[10] Natural candids. An awesome serendipity is that 300mm is enough range that I'm seeing very natural looking candids. I'm far enuff away from people that I'm not in their space so they relax. With the 24-70 I'd have to get close enough that it'd change their expression slightly. Even if I'm zoomed way in at 300mm and my subject sees me I'm still physically far enough away that they dont feel threatened (but if they only knew!) :-) This creates *PRICELESS* shots in my opinion. It definitely has that paparazzi quality. It's this last quality that makes the cons worth it to me.Bottomline: I can deal with the cons for the pros. You get what you pay for. Nice work canon! :-).dsj.

4Fast, clear, heavy performer
By Jason Tu
I bought this lens for my EOS 20D. Before this lens, I was using EOS 28-135mm lens. After the upgrade, I found that 28-300mm lens give me almost distortion free image even at 300mm range. When I used 28-135mm lens, the distortion on the image is very visible when I am at 135mm range. Even at the wide angle range, I noticed that 28-300mm lens gives me much sharper image while 28-135mm lens gives me much softer image. The focus is very fast for 28-300mm L lens. On the down side, this 28-300mm lens is really heavy. Holding it will really wear you out. The auto/manual focus switch is arranged in a very awkard position. It is very easy to change your auto foucs setting to manual setting. The lens also will be pulled all the way down due to its weight when you carry it around. I have to carry it with my hand and not make it extend itself all the way down. If picture quality is what you are after, go for this lens. I am very pleased with the sharpness and the fast focusing.

I have the old one for 17 years for my restaurant and it still works good. This one is good so far but it is a little too big for me, i guess i should order a smaller one. Most electronic things won't last long these days, I hope the quality will be as good as the old one i have.

5Excellent Lens
By L C
I love this lens. I'd like to compare it to the canon 70-200 f/2.8 L, because I own that too. I originally bought the 70-200 because I really like the L series glass, having previously purchased other L lenses. I am a small woman and I found it to be very cumbersome and often left it at home (though it is an excellent lens on it's own) because of it's size. My husband suggested the 70-300 f/4-5.6 DO IS as an alternative. I am SO pleased with the lens. I recently shot over 250 photos at a zoo. All hand held, something I could NOT do with the 70-200, and many at the extreme 300mm. The IS is amazing, the weight of the lens very manageable. It was a cloudy, sometimes rainy day and yet the colors were true and the focus, even in low light situations, very accurate. I used no flash, even indoors. The photos through glass and mesh were so clear, you'd never know either were there. On a sunny day practice shoot, I had no trouble with lens flare, even without using a hood. (I was trying to get flare, just because it was mentioned in other reviews.) So, if you do not wish to haul a heavy lens around and you want all the benefits of an L series photo, I would recommend this lens.

5Great Lens!
By George Mitsuoka
I originally purchased the other (non-DO) Canon 70-300mm zoom lens but found so many annoyances with it that I returned it. I find this DO lens to be much, much nicer and worth the extra cost. The issues I had with the non-DO lens were: it's big and noisy (focus and IS); slow to focus; if pointed down, the lens violently pops-out to full zoom, thus requiring use of the zoom lock whenever not in use; the filter ring rotates during zoom, making use of a polarizing filter difficult; you cannot manually focus if the lens is in AF mode; chromatic aberrations were noticable. The DO lens has none of these issues: it is compact (about the same size as the Canon EFS 17-85), quiet, and fast focusing. The lens holds its focal length if pointed up or down. The filter ring does not rotate during zoom, and you can manually focus whether in AF or MF mode. I've seen no chromatic aberrations with this lens. Shots are clear and crisp throughout the entire range.I didn't consider the highly-rated L series lenses because I knew that I wouldn't regularly carry such a large and obtrusive lens. I can literally carry this DO lens in my jacket pocket wherever I go, and not attract a lot of attention when it's mounted on my camera. Your needs may vary. It's also a pleasure to own what I consider to be a technological marvel. With excellent image stabilization and autofocus, and being one of only two SLR lenses in the world to use diffractive optics (the other one costs over $5k), this lens defines state of the art.

5Criminally bum rapped.
By jabdigital
I spent weeks in forums reading up on this lens, and always seemed to come across a mixed bag of comments about it. I've had it for about a month, and I have taken a good amount of pictures with it. It does take great pictures, all the way up to 300mm. There is a touch of softness at 300mm, but this can all be taken care of using an unsharp mask in Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro/etc..... As a matter of fact, this lens seems particularly receptive to sharpening. People swear by L lenses, but if it's between this lens and say the 70-200mm IS you're talking about a minimal difference in sharpness out of the camera, and the 70-200mm IS costs more with less of a range. The DO is also black, and the DO technology enables it to be much smaller than you'd expect. At full zoom it is smaller than the 70-200mm IS or non-IS!! I took this lens to a NY Mets baseball game, and did not stick out like a sore thumb. YOU CAN TAKE THIS LENS ANYWHERE!!! The image stabilization is great, and has 2 modes you can use.I am very satisfied with this lens. Don't let the L snobs sway you away.I bought this for 1169.95 and it's $30 drop to 1139.95 was refunded to me by Amazon. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.great lens, great place to buy.

5Plenty of Room, Plenty of Rice
By Reality Ranch Military Camp
I bought a few of these to use as food service items for my summer camp. I have no complaints; it is rugged, works well and is a reliable rice cooker. I have had this model for three years now, and have no need to replace it or purchase an alternative. This was a good choice; I plan to purchase additional cookers in the future.

5Mr. Greatway rates Zojirushi Rice Cooker
By Rick
I use The Zojirushi commercial rice cooker in my business kithcen everyday all day and it does the job. Its nice having a hinged lid (when I open the cooker I do not have to find a place to set lid.) You will pay a bit more for this product than other brands -- it is well worth it!!

5Perfect for even 7 bushels!
By Emy
I bought this press last year and used it to press 7 bushels of tomatoes that I purchased from a nearby farm. It was my first tomato press, but I have some experience using an older one at my boyfriend's house, who's been pressing tomatoes since he was young - as a yearly tradition. This press was much more efficient (made significantly less waste) than the older one. The motor worked well, and it got through the seven bushels fairly fast without making too much of a mess (we were careful of course). It's only flaw as far as I can tell, is that the entrance at the top where the tomatoes go in is a bit too small, so almost all of the tomatoes we had needed to be cut in half before putting them into the press. We had medium sized roma tomatoes, and so far as I can tell, this would be true for most types with the exception of cherry tomatoes. With that said, I definitely plan on using it again next year, and I think it was well worth the cost. If you're considering getting one of the hand crank ones, I would strongly advise against it, and recommend this one instead, since it would save you a lot of effort, especially for bigger jobs.

5smooth operation
By Mr. Fish
After years of straining tomatoes manually, this strainer made the job that much easier. As with almost anything you purchase the first time we used the machine it took a little effort to make sure it was working correctly. The second time we used it things went smoothly. We made over 70 jars this year & it was a smooth operation.

5This thing is a blessing
By cseszter
I cannot believe that I haven't bought one earlier. If you love tea - or coffee for that matter - and drink it a lot, or just want to keep it warm for your office, don't hesitate to buy it. There are various sizes, I chose this one because that's about how much tea I drink a day. Once I received it, of course I tested it. After 24 hours my tea was still hot, after 36 it was very warm. I guess as there's less liquid inside, it will get cooler faster too.I also love the color, although it isn't at all what it looks like on the picture. I could best describe it as white gold. This thing is easy to clean, the only thing is that it's too tall for my sink so rinsing is a little difficult. (I can't just put it under the tap.) There is an open/close lever on top that could serve well families with little children. If you're thinking of buying one of these Air Pots from Zojirushi, don't wait longer, you'll really love it. Just decide on the size, and make your purchase!

5This is what Zojirushi is known for - their glass Vaccuum AirPots
By Sluzen
This size and larger glass vacuum Airpots have excellent heat retention staying steaming hot for sure 12 hours later and often 24 hours later. That steaming part will amaze anyone. Do know that I always pre-fill with boiling hot water and let it sit a bit before filling with the hot liquid. No other Air Pot that I know of does this. It is quality through and through. The smaller Airpots do not stay is hot as the larger ones, but they are still better than all brand names.I had read so many comments about Zojirushi Airpots. Some of the complaints are misinformed. Like the comment that the top is difficult to take off and place back on. Just learn the trick to it and it won't be difficult at all. It all depends on the angle and sticking your finger on the metal bar to be able to feel when it pops into place.Even the smaller stainless steel vacuum travel mugs keep things steaming hot for my husband all day at work. There is nothing wrong with this product and everything right with it. Even the timespan of these products is long. In these days of (very short time span) planned obsolescence of every product imaginable, they should be legally sanctioned while Zojirushi should be cherished. However, next time I would purchase the brushed stainless steel one instead of the polished stainless steel. The polished always has to be polished to look clean.

4Simply does a great job with the basics!
By P. Rom
I purchased this receiver used a couple months ago. So far it's done very well. In comparison to today's receivers this one doesn't have half of the 'bells and whistles,' but it does a great job with the basics.I went with the Pioneer brand because the my 13 year old Pioneer Pro Logic receiver outlasted my 7 year old Kenwood DD/DTS receiver. The receiver sounds great with movies (in both DD and DTS) as well as music (in DD/DTS or just a stereo CD).The best part about the receiver is the pre-outs for all 5.1 channels for separate amplifiers. I am currently running a powered sub and a separate 2-channel amp for the fronts and it sounds incredible. The receiver is also expandable to 7.1 channels.PROS:Reliable!5.1 channel pre-outsSolid performance for movies and music (great DD/DTS processing!)CONS:No auto-setup feature (see VSX-d912 for that)No learning remote

5Awesome receiver
By A. J. Good
I currently have it set up in 5.1 mode (I have had it in 7.1 mode, but the other two speakers didn't sound as good and I took them out of the loop) running audio for my 3 computers, tv, and xbox360 and they all sound great. The sound quality is awesome at high and low volumes. It does a good job of decoding the position of the sound and sending it to the right speaker across both input methods (RCA and optical) I have tried. It has plenty of connections on the back - more than a lot of receivers in its price range. I have had it routing video for my 360 too and it seems to do a good job of that too.Drawbacks:No HDMIonly 2 optical-in portsSound quality is good enough that low bit-rate mp3s are going to sound wateryDoesn't bring me coffee in the morning.

4Excellent Receiver, not enough power
By Vikram Kalyanaraman
I've owned this for >2 years now. Of late the receiver has started going into Amp Error mode and I believe this is because it is unable to deliver the high current the speakers demand for movie watching. One thing to note is I am using this in the 5.0 mode with no subwoofer and that may be one of the causes.Otherwise, the sound is very clean, setup is very easy and intuitive, connectivity is abundant, features are easy to access, display is easy to read from a distance too, remote is well designed and it just works. I have not been able to find anyone with similar issues to mine for this particular model, but a net search shows other Pioneer models with a similar problem.
