5Very Good Binoculars
By Jimmie
These replaced an older version of these binoculars. The new ones are much lighter and the view seems to be brighter. While I do wish the IS button would toggle, it really is not much of an issue. However for the price it would be nice if Canon would include a hard case and some type of protection for the eyepeices, I wear glasses and with the rubber eye cups folded down the eyepeice lenses are very exposed. Overall I give these binoculars 5 stars.

5Oyster Glv Oyster Glove
By Customer
I have a very sharp knife and I am not an expert chopper, so I sliced my fingers a few times. After the last major slice due to clumsyness, I decided that I needed protection. When I started my seach, I saw that there were gloves out there that ranged from $10.99 (target) all the way to this Oyster Glv Oyster Glove which was a whopping ~$140...so why did I pay more to get the Oyster glove? The cheaper gloves are not made out of metal, they are made out of fibers...so I handle a lot of meat and fish...not sure how clean they would be after repeated use. I also hate to wash things by hand....the oyster glove can be placed in the dishwasher to get cleaned after using it which is a HUGE convenience factor for me.So most of you who know you want a metal glove will find that amazon has this oyster glove and another cheaper metal glove for like 80 bucks or something like that. The reason I bought the oyster glove is because of the wrist band...that allows you to tighten the glove around your hand so that it doesn't wiggly around, which is a HUGE benefit when wearing a protective glove. The glove fits my hand decently, although you have to be careful about the whole one size fits all theory. In regards to usage, it feels great and doesn't get in the way which was something that initially concerned me. I also have plastic food gloves that I bought from costco that I wear around the gloves so I can switch from beef to chicken without having to wash it...making it even that much more convenient.Aside from the wrist band that keeps the glove in place, I do not see any other difference between this oyster glove and the cheaper metal mesh glove that amazon sells. However, I recommend the oyster glove bc of the wrist band so that your glove doesn't move around when you are using it...just make sure the glove will fit your hand.

5Recently Purchased
By Greg
I recently purchased this glove with the intention of using it as an oyster glove. I had a couple hesitations when I purchased it, as I am left-handed and therefore would be wearing it on my right hand. I also have pretty big hands and usually wear XL sized gloves so I wasn't sure if it would be too small. The description says that it can be used on both hands. I thought this meant that you could simply turn it over and wear it backwards, however with this glove, you can simply turn it inside out and reverse the wrist snap to fit either hand. The glove fits perfectly on the right hand as a result and the adjustable strap is a nice feature, it's also easy to turn around on the strap. The snap on the glove itself is double sided so that you can snap it either way.In terms of size, the glove is actually a little big on me especially around the bottom half of my hand, there is quite a bit of extra material that hangs loose on the opposite side of your thumb (below my pinky finger), the fingers themselves fit perfectly with no discomfort at all.The one complain it have is the length of the seam that runs up the side of the glove to allow you to put it on, it comes up almost to the bottom of your pinky finger, so I took some steel wire and sewed three links or so shut. The end of the seam is double looped so you know it won't come apart.I used it to open a dozen or so Oysters and it works perfectly the best part is that its easily cleaned, I like to open Oysters under the running faucet so that any shell flakes wash away, with this glove you don't have to worry about it getting grungy as you can use some dish soap and wash it up under the faucet after you are don't quite easily. This is much better than the typical black rubber glove that you would normally use.The glove can also be used for cutting, chain mail is pretty fine and you would need a pretty sharp point to penetrate the loopholes, the glove is very well made and I tested it out against a sharp knife with no penetration or pain after hitting the palm of my hand with the blade of the knife. Probably not the best thing for the knife, but it gives you some confidence that you can cut without hesitation. I have not used it to chop or cut yet, there isn't much slack on the fingers themselves so you could definitely get pretty close to your fingernails when chopping or dicing with no worry of the knife snagging on the glove. I plan on using it for this purpose when the time comes and I have a lot of stuff to chop up.Can I say the $140-$150 price tag is worth it? Not sure but its a pretty sweet item to whip out and impress your guests. If you are used to wearing a rubber glove this one will not pad as much, as your essentially jamming metal loops into your hand when opening a shell, so it won't be as comfortable, but it doesn't hurt that much.I hope this if helpful, as there were not many reviews online for the glove, and all of them were the same whether here on Amazon or Cooking.com affiliates.Greg

5Does what it does superbly
By Wings42
I've been using my Champion juicer for about four years now. I also have an Acme 5001 juicer. The Acme is excellent, but I've found myself using the Champion and storing the Acme. The Champion juicer is extremely easy to set up and use.The continuous feed feature allows making large amounts of juice without intermittent cleaning. The Champion is versatile. With the screen removed, it's a mincer. With the blank instead of the screen it makes sorbets. With the large hole screen, the juice is pulpier, my preference. You can buy a mill attachement to mill small amounts of flour, nuts, or flax seed.Juicing is messy. The Champion is OK in that regard but not great. It's not as messy as some, more messy than others. Cleanup is quick and easy. Disassembly is a breeze. Unlike other machines with many parts and hard-to-clean screened centrifical baskets, the Champion has a small semi flat filter screen that is easy to clean. The plastic parts are tough nylon but stain easily from food. The stains go away in the dishwasher. The parts aren't supposed to be dishwasher safe, but we've never had problems. The residue is usually reasonably dry. If not, it can be run through again to squeeze more juice out of it. The residue can be used as mulch or to thicken and flavor soups and stews. The home model motor has almost never stalled on me, though it has slowed with carrots or cabbage if I use too much pressure. Just a slightly reduced pressure on the tamper and the motor speeds right back up.I know somebody who has had the same Champion since the 1950's and still uses it. Parts are reasonably priced and easily available. It doesn't juice grass, but you can roll the leaves of cabbage or lettuce and juice them. It doesn't juice leaves as good as some other juicers, but it's OK for occasional use or if the leaves are to add flavor to other juices. A person who only eats raw food would probably benefit from a slow speed gear or screw press type unit instead, even at twice the price. The unit is heavy and bulky, but has had the same honored spot on our kitchen sink since we bought it new. I love the 1950's utilitarian styling. I'd recommend getting another juicer if it needed to be stored in a cabinet after each use or if you want something sleek looking. If it was stolen, I'd buy another, except maybe a dark color that doesn't stain.Update November 2009. It's still going strong, and I've discovered other uses for it. We bought the grain mill, and use it to grind flax seed. An apple butter recipe I made calls for quartering the apples, boiling them for 20 minutes, and then straining the apples to remove the skin and seeds. Straining by hand was extremely slow and labor intensive, but I got a brain storm (necessity being the mother of invention) and put the sieve plate with large hole in my Champion. Running all 20 or so lbs. of cooked apples through it took about 5 easy minutes. The applesauce came out of the bottom, the skin and seeds out the end. If anything, I love my old Champion even more than before.

3Good but could be better
By C. Harris
First off I'd like to say for the price the Champion is an excellent machine for what I imagine most people use it for. However with that being said I must say that for a Raw foodist or a pro-active vegan/vegitarian it is less than ideal. It makes juice GREAT but does not juice greens or wheatgrass well and smokes when you try to homogonize several things such as almond butter and wheat berries. Overall good but defintly has room for improovement.

5great juicer
By SWfromCT
I am not a raw foodist, but I really like making my own peanut butter, good juices and fruit sorbet. For these sorts of things, the Champion is great. We like putting frozen fruit into it to make yummy, no-sugar-added desserts. and since it has a continuous extraction, it doesn't get clogged. Definitely worth the price.

Kitchen storage solutions by J.K. Adams make it easy to save on valuable kitchen space while enjoying the best of USA-made craftsmanship. The family-owned company provides everything from pot hooks and spice bottles to wooden spice carousels, kitchen-knife blocks, bread boxes, wine racks, pot racks, and more. J.K. A thoughtful choice for gift giving, the high-quality kitchen items provide sleek designs and convenient functionality for year after year of everyday convenience.

Innovative Kitchen-Storage Solutions

In the late-1970's, when the gourmet-chef-tools market in the U.S. was still in its infancy, J.K. Adams owner Malcolm Cooper, Sr. conceived of the first slanted knife block. His goal was to create a cutlery organizer that would hold knives at a low enough angle that they could be easily removed from the block when it was pushed back under a cabinet overhang. The J.K. Adams Kangaroo knife block was launched in 1980--the first-ever slanted knife block, and still the best.

Recognizing the many opportunities to improve kitchen storage, J.K. Adams introduced the revolving "carousel" spice rack in 1982 followed by countless other well-designed storage products in the years since, including the popular in-drawer knife tray in 1994, a space-saving alternative to the knife block that offers the same safety and blade protection.

In 2011, J.K. Adams takes cutlery storage to a new level once again with the new Universal knife block. For over 30 years, J.K. Adams has continued to lead and inspire the kitchen storage market with their innovative designs, superior hardwoods, and exemplary craftsmanship.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have some very special wine glasses and would keep them in the kitchen cabinet as to protect them and now with this rack I can proudly display my glasses and as an added bonus my friends see them and have bought me a couple of new ones.

3Sigma TS-41 Rotating Tripod Collar
By D. Ryan
This is a big improvement from the stock tripod collar that came with my Sigma 120-300mm lens. It rotates more smoothly, stands taller allowing better access to the focus ring and is easier to balance with Wimberley or Ballheads. My two complaints are that it should come stock with a $2000 lens and that it is only drilled and tapped for one mounting screw. It's ridiculous to buy a high end lens with a poorly designed mount and then pay more than a hundred dollars more to fix the problem. This is just plain cheap on Sigma's part. My second complaint is that the lens foot is quite long which is good for stability and establishing balance, but it should be tapped for at least two mounting screws to prevent Arca Swiss type plates from rotating in use. My other lenses with long mounting feet are tapped with multiple holes which prevents the plates from rotating during use. There is plenty of room to thread an additional hole, but the foot wasn't designed that way and the recessed metal weight saving design makes it difficult to tap my own mounting hole. I'm not sorry I purchased this, it is definitely an improvement but the design could be improved and this purchase shouldn't be necessary.

4Great blow job
By J. Loy
Obviously, you are spending more money than one really should on a blow drier, so one should get a great blow. This delivers, however, the buttons are in such an awkward place, that when you move it around, your fingers knock the heat settings from hot to cold fairly easily. However, it is a great blow drier overall. I'm not a professional, so I haven't used that many, but the weight is good, not too loud, and seems to work quickly.

4great hairdryer
By AAS
Works great. Very easy to use. Perfect amount of heat. Totally worth the money. Light, not too heavy. The switches make it easy to turn on and off with out getting in the way of the the handle while drying. The only thing that would make it better is a different location for the cool blast button. But over all... LOVE IT!

5GREAT Blow Dryer
By SMB
This has taken my drying time down from 30 minutes to 15, and it leaves my hair so soft and smooth I can't believe it. I have course, curly hair and this thing just whips it into shape in no time. I was considering the T3, but was convinced at the beauty supply store that not only is this the same as a T3 for a third of the price, but this is the company that started the tourmaline technology. Anyway, bought it, love it, won't be without it! I had no idea what a difference a good blow dryer can make.

5Consistent and very high quality
By Petur O. Jonsson
Illy espresso beans are my favorite of all the widely available commercially produced roasted espresso beans. This is the standard medium roast that Illy produces and it is a bit less aggressive and milder tasting than the dark roasts of Lavazza (the other major Italian brand that some people favor). When properly ground, tamped, and brewed Illy espresso has a delightful aroma and flavor, unmatched by any of the other brands.Granted, Illy is quite pricey, and I do not use it all the time for this reason. However, you get what you pay for. Usually, I buy my espresso from a small roasting house in the Midwest that produces a decent medium roast substitute that I do not mind using most of the time. But Illy definitely produces a higher quality bean. One way to judge the quality of roasted espresso beans even before you taste the coffee that they will produce is to look at the evenness of color and size of the beans. The reason is that beans of a uniform size tend to roast more evenly than beans of varying sizes. Moreover, even when the beans are of a uniform size, it is important that they be roasted in small batches and churned during the the entire roasting process to ensure that they all get roasted to the same point. This is why most high quality coffee is roasted in small batches in a rotating drum that roasts all the beans to the exact same point. Moreover, since the moisture content of the beans varies a bit from batch to batch, quality control in the roasting process is extremely important. And it is here that Illy is unmatched. Just do a simple visual comparison of the color and consisteny of Illy beans when compared to any of the other widely available brands and you can easily see why Illy is the best.

5Great coffee in even better containers!
By George Goley
Coffee taste is a personal preference. I love coffee and Illy medium roast espresso beans are among my favorites. That's not why I buy Illy for the office however. I buy it for use in my office because the beans stay perfectly fresh in the super sturdy sealed cans for a very long time. Three month old cans open as fresh as 3 day old cans. So, I can buy 6 cans at a time, and never run out!
