4Good for mounting photos or art
By Patrick Fitzgerald
I mount a lot of photos for display in competitions, from 8x10 to 13x19. Before I found this product, I ruined too many prints with spray adhesive. With this product, no ruined prints, no bubbles, no loose edges. You can reposition the print on the mounting board until you make the bond permanent with the provided squeegee. I use a "self-healing" cutting mat, and a utility knife with a fresh blade. To cut the adhesive sheet to size, I lay the print on the adhesive sheet so that it just hangs over the adhesive sheet on two edges. To cut the other two edges to fit,I angle the blade in under those edges, so that the adhesive sheet is just a bit smaller than the print. Then, as the enclosed directions state, you squeegee the adhesive sheet to the back of the print to transfer the adhesive, peel off the backing material, position the print on the mounting board, and when satisfied by the position, squeegee the print to the board to make the bond permanent. Each roll comes with instructions, a squeegee, and a sheet of protective material to place over the print to protect the print while using the squeegee. The main trick is avoiding getting adhesive on your fingers which you then can inadvertently transfer to the print.

5Great Replacement for Spray Mount
By JMUStretch
As a graphic design graduate student, I spent my first year turning my balcony into a little spray mounting hut. I then remembered this product that I had used at one of my previous employers. It certainly saved the day as I prepared for candidacy review. I order two rolls unsure of how much I would need. I have composed approximately twenty-five 15"x 30" boards and still have not run out of the first roll.Make sure that you purchase the Mounting Adhesive that is permanent once pressure is applied. 3M sells an alternative that is ALWAYS positionable. This product is not despite its name - it is just easier to maneuver than the spray mount alternative, but once it is in place and you have applied pressure with either a roller or the included squeegee it is not going to go anywhere.

53M 568 positionable adhesive
By jenga
This is a fabulous material for anyone doing paper arts of any sort. It basically converts any piece of paper into a sticker. As a bookbinder, I often use it for adhering cover papers. It is especially good for thin papers where paste tends to bleed through. I also know of several printmakers who use it instead of wheat paste for doing chin colé.
