just buy it and use it

superb feel and power, among the very best synthetic out there. if i could afford gut, i would use gut. I cannot, so I use this. playing over 30 years and this ties with a couple others for first place.durability? who cares. play twenty sets with it, then put in a new set of strings. who needs the headache of extra variables caused by dead strings? not me.

Smooth as Silk

This is for the 16 gauge NRG, as there is only 17 and 18 listed here. This string is rumored to be the closest thing to natural gut string on the synthetic side. Feel and playability on this string is fantastic. Grips the ball well and top/side spin is very easy to generate. The string also feels INCREDIBLY durable. I've played for about 6 hours and the strings still feel very unworn. Power is also higher than expected. I've strung this two pounds tighter than usual, and it seems to be a good adjustment.

I love NRG2. I use 17 gauge and I swear by it. It has great feel and my arm feels much less tired after playing with this string than when I used to use plain synthetic gut and/or nylon. I have tried NXT, Live Wire XP, TNT2 and Sensation and of all these, NRG2 is my favorite. If you like NXT but want a little more crisp/firm feel, then NRG2 is for you. NXT and NRG2 have about the same durability in my experience, which is not very long, but its a trade off I am willing to make for comfort.
