For the first time since 1973 the Topps base set was issued in more than one series. They finally went to a glossy front and back with a photo on the back. A whopping 825 cards it features 26 Hall of Famers and 10 members of the 3000 Hit Club.Also included are All-Star cards, manager cards and at the end are 26 'Coming Attractions' that aspire to look like a movie poster. Of them about 8 had any significant playing time. Oh, and then there is 1993 Topps Derek Jeter Rookie Card #98 New York Yankees which helps the set out. Good for someone born in 1993. I actually assembled a set like this at the time.This boxed set also contains Gold Cards as there was one per pack. Included are the first teams of the Rockies and Marlins, few of which lasted with the teams very long.
