5good quality
By D.H.
These pumps appearantly do not stop working. Had a 250 GPH in my first pond running muck and all through it for 3 years. Have in a skimmer now in a new pond and still going strong 24/7 It is also the same one I run in the winter, so actually 24/7 and all year round. the 1200 gph is just as good. If I HAD to complain and IM NOT, I would say that my 1200 which is used "inline" now is a bit noisy but it really isn't a problem and not sure why it would be a problem for anyone esp. since these cost me next to nothing to run BOTH. cant say enough about them, esp. if you run them in the last phase of a gravity filter (like you should anyway). Theres really nothing to break except the impeller and I don't see why it would even break in my situation. Wouldn't consider any other brand after using these. I really liked the nice looking external pumps I've seen online, but these have already been proven to me. Even if those other ones I was interested in do run a little cheaper per month w/ more gph, whats more important to me is these just wont stop yet. One more thing is you should take the time to run 1200 gph model through no less then 1 1/2" pipe. Get the two extra fittings and do it right.*updatePumps are still flawless through a properly set up koi pond (bottom drain, gravity filtered, settling chamber, matala, K-1 media bed.. the works) Koi happy and healthy w/ no losses, and all of my pumps have been running since my last review appearantly 22 months ago. As for the negative reviews, yes dont buy this if your going to put a pump in the bottom of a store bought pond and pump filthy, lifeless water through a 3/4 inch flex hose from the big box store, then over some rocks, then back to the "pond". Research your needs.

5Years of dependable service.
By Hollye G. Merton
I have had one of these for at least twelve years and it has been running almost continually the whole time. I have had to replace two impellers and a front manifold. It is a workhorse. Very dependable. If you are thinking of buying a submersible for a filter or waterfall, this would be a good choice. I am running mine in a 100 gallon MacCourt pond through a Pondmaster 1000 filter up to my 14" waterfall weir about three feet at a 45 degree diagonal from the pump. It works great and I get a wonderful flow on the waterfall.

5Works great
By R. A. Bennett
This pump appears to be well made, solid construction. I hooked the pump up using 1" tubing to a Cal Pump 10" spillway. Getting good flow rate without any adjustments. Running 3 weeks now, no problems.
