Don't look too close!

A must-have for the horror collector, but a little disappointing at close inspection. Compared to Skinless Julia, who is detailed beyond belief, this figure pales. The head is good. Nicely done. But when you look at the neck, although possibly movie accurate, it's just a red neck. Limited muscles and detail. The hands are the same. The tendons look more like titanium robot tendons than human ones. Again, as compared to Skinless Julia, who raised the bar at Series Two. Frank is Series Three. Instead of the same or even greater detail, NECA's figures got worse with each Series? My mistake if it's more movie accurate. But as far as a figure's details go? Knife in hand is nice, and holds tight. But it looks fragile. Look out! Rat in left hand fits, but doesn't hold in too snug. Might want to glue it on. He stands on his own, but seems to be prone to falling backward. No holes in feet for base display stand. Why not have at least one hole? Wing tip dress shoes are cool, but sloppily done. Articulation at neck, shoulders, wrists, and waist. He and Julia make a nice pair. They're both evil, but Julia has the looks. It's as though this figure was put together in a hurry. Don't get me wrong, I do not regret my purchase. I would buy this figure again. But...NECA recently re-released Jason, The Crow, and King Leonidas. All three are better than the originals, in my opinion. I vote for a Frank re-release.

Come to Daddy

The Hellraiser figures have been long overdue and are a minor Godsend (or demonsend) to fans of this bloody, demented series.It hardly gets better than a figure of Uncle Frank, not quite whole yet, donning his (bloodied up) suit and clutching a dead rat and his trusty switchblade.Like Julia, Frank's skinned form is very detailed and appropriately grisly. Like most of the Hellraiser figures, this is a sturdy, well made figure.Easily one of the best figures in this series. Nice job by NECA once again. A demented addition to your shelf, as if you'd have it any other way.
