3Not the Best, but sufficient.
By 303 GearGuy
I got them and plugged them in to my crown xls2000. They were obviously cheap built boxes. The wood that the grill is attached to was super crappy and cheap, broken in so many parts I rebuilt it.The feet they give you are plastic and hard, they broke right away as I was installing them. I will go to the hardware store and get some rubber ones. I also pulled the crossover out, swapped out the 18 gauge internal wiring for some 10 gauge. I also added 3 2x4's that were cut to form the back of the box and brace it together for rigity.I also added one from front to back, where there was an original skimpy one, This worked great. The bass ports had to be glued in cuz they fell out as soon as they made a sound...lol. Long story short, THEY ARE WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU REBUILD THE CABINET AND WRING. Dont expect the best, but they bass hard now that I put in 4 hours of labor into them and a couple studs and about 100 screws . luckily I have a shop.

3Has some thump, needs some more...
By D. Costner
I have two of these that I power with a Carvin DMC2000. They handle the power well, and they have some low end, but to my ear, they don't seem to cover the low spectrum as advertised with that boom in your chest you get from a set of JBL's (short XMax). However, these things are dirt cheap, and the enclosure is decent, so if the drivers fail, they can be re-used. I have an active crossover, so I can't comment on the internal one. They have 1/4, BP and Speakon connectors, which is a plus. They compliment a pair of 12's on a stick pretty well - good enough to take on the road for a dance crowd in a small-medium sized room. I would buy them again for this low price.

4Great Sound for the money!
By Beej
I could not find any reviews of this subwoofer, yet the specs and price were very tempting so I decided to take a stab and try it out. The risk was minimal because of my previous good experience with Amazon with returning products. The speaker as received sounded very good, but was badly beat up during shipping - the front grille was bent and one of the corners crashed. The shipping box was totally mangled and it looked like the speaker fell off the truck. Because it was sold as new, I decided to send it back for a replacement. Second speaker came in with the shipping box damaged, but the speaker itself looked good.Nice surprise!I connected it right away to hear the sound and what a surprise! The bass sounded very deep and clean, however when pushed it with more power, things started to rattle a bit. I really liked the sound, so I decided to do some work on it.I took the driver out to get access to the inside. The driver looked solid without any fancy hardware (that I don't care about, anyway).Changes I did:1. removed the crossover - I use monoblock amp with built in low pass, so the cross over is not needed and without it I should get better efficiency.2. Replaced internal wiring with heavier gauge wires3. Applied more wood glue for all box seams to prevent rattling4. Applied black silicone for the connector plate, and the driver to prevent rattling5. re-glued the grille mounting inserts to prevent rattlingAfter all these chenges I put it to test with all the power that it can handle - what a difference. This box sounds amazing. The bass gets so low and powerfull that I can't use all of its power indoor - walls and windows rattle.Outside (outdoor)it sounds amazing.I've been torturing it for a couple weeks now and it still sounds great.Definitely recommend it, but you may have to invest some time to reinforce the box with glue and silicone. It's a great value for the money.BJ
