ADORABLE AND ENCHANTING WISHING WELL

I always wanted a wishing well, though the only ones I came across were wood, and we all know what wood looks like after being exposed to the elements, even cedar wood, which is supposed to be the best, I even contaced a manufacturer about their wood wishing wells, depending on the elements, the wood wishing wells will last any where from 5-10 years, so when I came across the dura trel wishing well made out of vinyl with a 20 year warrenty I thought how could you go wrong, though the price was indeed steep, but I went for it, the wishing well arrived in 2 heavy large boxes, I had to look over the instructions for some time to comprehend them, the instructions say you need either a hand philips screw driver or a power drill, I have never used a power drill before, I tried to asseble with the hand held philips, I could not even put one screw through the vinyl since it was soo thick, unless you have the strength of hercules and some of the holes did not match up to make it worse, then I noticed that a few peices were damaged, it did take several weeks for the new ones to arrive, I have put together pleny of things over the years, this is the first thing that I could not put together, so I had to hire a licensed contractor to put this together for me, it took him just over 2 hours, he told me everything was easy to put together except for the roof, he had a hard time lining up the roof panels, he also mentioned that the wishing well, was movable, and bendable, because twice the amount of screws really needed to be put at the bottom portion, its a good thing I had hired a professional to put this together for me, there is no way I could have pulled this off on my own, by the way I did not install the anchors, because they were just too big, instead I put large rocks around the well, I wrapped some rope around the pole and added a bucke, refer to the picture I uploaded, I am happy with the size of the wishing well, 6 feet tall by 3 feet wide, if you want this for an event, I would buy at least a month ahead, in case there are any damaged parts, or you need to find some one to assemble this for you, UPDATE, 6/12/2012, I decided the wishing well needed something more, so I added extra rope around the pole, ran an extra bar at the top of the roof to support a pulley, added a copper water pitcher, and had a rust proof aluminum sign made for my wishing well, VOLA, I now have a completed look

Always looks great. Assembly took some time, but was relatively easy. I use it to cover the ugly well cap that was along side my driveway. I hung a fake flower arrangement in it, put some mulch and plants around it, and I always get positive comments on how good it looks.
