J K Adams Pot Rack PRW-01

Buy the rack, add the hooks. A perfect, simple system. My rack is currently holding fourteen pans. Seven are cast iron. My rack is the wall mount PRW-01, 36 inches wide. PR-36 is ceiling mounted 36 inches wide. PR-20 is ceiling mounted, 20 inches wide.J.K. Adams PR-36 36-Inch by 12-Inch Mini Bar Pot Rack, Natural Both racks use the same type of wood bar and hooks. Hooks are J.K. Adams PR-HK-02 Pot Hooks, set of 2.

Well-made, but could be better

This is a handy item but check it fits in your kitchen layout. The minimalistic instructions included warn that the brackets must go into solid wood - not drywall. So it would be wise to find out where the studs are before you order. Keep in mind you will want the unit centered, so it's a bit of a puzzle if your studs are not exactly where you need them.Fortunately, my kitchen cabinets are backed by a solid mounting rail behind the drywall, but I can see where this could be a problem. In addition, although the bottom brackets fit into the mounting rail perfectly, the top brackets (the flat ones) seem to have been made to a different profile, and didn't fit into the rail properly. If I had used them as supplied, the shelf would have ended up slanted away from the wall. Instead, I "notched" the rail where each bracket attached and that allowed the shelf to sit level. For this price, I expected more. The shelf slats are stapled together. My impression is that this started out as a quality product and as time went on economies were made. Not really worth the price.

This is a good strong pot rack and was easy to install. It looks good and gives me more cabinet space now that they aren't full of pots and pans. I bought two extra packs of hooks. The supports can be mounted either on top or bottom. Recommended.
