This Dormer A190 jobber length drill bit set contains 29 high-speed steel drill bits, including metric sizes 1.0 through 13.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments and sizes 3.3, 4.2, 6.8, and 10.2 mm, with a black oxide finish and a 118-degree conventional point for use in general-purpose applications on ferrous material. High-speed steel (HSS) provides hardness for wear resistance, and the black oxide finish acts as a lubricant to reduce wear while promoting chip and coolant flow. These jobber length drill bits have a drilling depth up to four times their diameter. The round shank accommodates most drill chucks. The set comes in a plastic index case with labeled compartments for identification and organization. Drill bits conform to Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) 338 standard.

Made in Brasil

This set is made in Brasil, which was a disappointment as several other brands are now making bit sets back in the US again. The easiest way to tell the country of origin on the Dormer sets from what I've gathered now is whether the case is made of plastic or metal, where the metal cases seem to be American made.I don't agree that the case is sturdy, as it's 100% plastic and I'm sure the plastic links used as hinges will break sooner than later. It does the job as long as you baby it.Regardless of my two complaints, the bits themselves seem fine and the extra four bits for very common sizes that I use for tapping is definitely a plus and was the reason for purchase. Feel free to ask any specific questions you might have.

Been looking for a good quality drill bit set and here's one at a reasonable price. The case is sturdy, the bits are cut well, they work great, very happy with the product.
