Very nice lamp!

Although I didn't buy this from Amazon, but rather, directly via CAL Lighting, I wanted to let other shoppers know how happy I am with it. It's much nicer than the cheapy plastic version I first saw at Target and I'm glad I decided to spend a few extra bucks (but still a great bargain) for this far superior product. It's a great bedroom lamp, as it's amber-colored shade creates a nice, soft ambiance. However, the three-setting light switch/bulb also allows for brighter light if needed. Well-made and very easy to put together.

Well built, solid construction. The base is heavy enough to keep it stable and the pole is a heavy gauge thickness. I have it on a wall dimmer in the bedroom along with a few other lamps and the 3 way switch allows me to balance the brightness to match the other lamps in the circuit but increase it more if I need extra light.It was well packaged and there was no damage to any of the parts.My only complaint was that I had a hard time aligning the threads when assembling the pole to avoid cross threading them. If they has been recessed back slightly, the pieces could have been mated slightly before the threads engaged.Other than that, the lamp is a nice piece of furniture and the mica shade gives off a nice warm glow while the light cast onto the ceiling spreads the light around the room. I recommend it.P.S. The height dimension given by amazon is incorrect. They state the height as 24" which would make it a pretty short floor lamp. The actual height is 72".
