Product Description
This high pressure high flow MSD electric fuel pump is extremely resistant to clogging and jamming. Features a roller vane pump, 2 cushioned mounting clamps and 4 mounting bolts. Multi-port EFI systems require a stable fuel supply to maintain best performance throughout the engine's rpm range. MSD Ignition warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use, if properly installed, for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

fuel pump

this was a great pump to replace an aftermarket fuel sys. Lowered truck needed in bed tank and this inline pump to equal required pressure.

I drove 500 miles using the older pump "Mallory-Marine-Style" pump and got stuck 500 miles from home. This MSD 2225 got me back home. It's the only USA one I could find and being a Prime Member, it took 2 days to get. I called MSD and Howell Injection to see if they thought it was a good match and they agreed.It's quieter. I have a Mallory 140 Series Comp Canister fuel filter between the tank and fuel pump. I always use Premium fuel but a few weeks before the trip I used some 104 in the tank. The Mallory element was only 14 months old with about 2,500 miles on it. I pulled out the element after installing the MSD Pump and it was caked with a darkness all over the folds. I believe this led to the failure of my Marine Style Pump and because the Mallory Marine Pump after 500 miles starved for fuel, it got hot and blew a 30 amp relay!I added a inline filter between the fuel pump and throttle body.The MSD pump is doing very well within the 13-15 PSI range. Adding the inline filter bumped it up the 17-18 PSI Range as the PSI is regulated in the Throttle Body.So far I have 600 miles on this MSD Pump and I'm very happy with it.Most of MSD products are made in the USA which will now cause me to dump Mallory USA (which is really Mallory/China) and start using MSD Products.

Pump Noisy and Getting Worse

This is a loud pump you can hear the noise inside while driving with he windows down, Replaced with another pump and it is super quiet. Poor product seller has not contacted me back after emailing them.
