Should have been a five star and great...but!

When I received the screen it was packaged fairly well. I pulled out the screen and there was a small dent in the aluminum casing where the ball knob pull down cord was placed in a plastic bag under the handle. Apparently the knob has some pressure applied and it dented the case slightly. Also the metal loop attachment for a ceiling hook had paint missing and was not in its proper position, but bent over the stops, leading me to believe this screen was previously used. I contacted Da-lite to try and figure who was to blame...the shipper/seller or Da-lite. Also the shade mechanism is hard to operate as many other people have complained about, and you would think that over all these years of Da-lite being in business they could design a better retraction system. I have their emails and it is sort of ho hum, this is an inexpensive bottom of the line product, so what do you expect. But if you get a screen in perfect condition from them and learn the retracting procedure I suppose you can't ask for a better screen for the price. I didn't want to go through sending the screen back so I can't comment on Amazon's part in the process, but I'm pretty sure they would have let me return the screen. This is the first semi-unsatisfactory purchase I have made with lots of purchases over the years. I would purchase the screen without hesitation again...it was probably the seller who dented the screen, but who really knows.

i bought this on sale for $30 + shipping, and it has worked beautifully for the past 10 months now! figuring out what 4x3 resolution meant was kinda tricky, but it fits my small living space perfectly. installation was so easy, even a girly-girl like me could do it! i used my battery operated drill to secure it to the wall with heavy duty hooks that hold at least 40 lbs each + large hollow wall anchors from Home Depot--and so far I've have had no problems with the stability, the picture quality or the retraction mechanism :) even at $85, it can't be beat for the price.

Nice Screens.

I like this screen. Since I baught a few of them (same type) I had a chance to compare. My only issue is that one of them closes needing much more effort than the others. I figure they should all close with the same quality of ease on the user. But if one keeps it open, then there is no problem.The picture display quality is good; as I tried several brand of projectors with them.
