THE FABRIC in the Herkules 16 Pants is a heavy cotton canvas base material (7.7 oz. per yard), coated with a special formulated PVC (10.3 oz. per yard) for a total weight of 18 oz. per yard. The PVC coating is specially designed to resist oils and to maintain flexibility in extremely cold temperatures. Applications: All Commercial Fishing, Building and Road Construction, Timber Harvest, Agriculture, Mining, Shipyards, Forestry, Utilities.

Kept dry in a downpour. This works!!

I just got back from Canada.. had a steady morning rain capped by a downpour. My fishing buddies had Gore-tex, I had Herkules. I was the only one who stayed dry. Even the native guides were jealous. This is not lightweight gear, but it really works. If you watch "Deadliest Catch" on TV, this is what they wear.

These were great, just a little on the short side for me

Love Grundens and their products, however these were just a tab bit short for me. If you're 6'2 + you're probably going to want to get the tall model. I lucked out and a buddy (about 5'10) bought them off of me and they fit him perfectly. So it was a win/win.
