Haven't had my sharpener for very long. I sharpened up some old filet knives and they were once again usuable. It seems to work well on the knives I sharpened. Being left handed, sometimes there are issues with these things. It wasn't a problem at all with this product.

This sharpener works great. Gives a sharp edge to any knife. Needs non-petroleum sharpening liquid. My only negative comment is I tried to save a few bucks on the smaller one and while it still sharpens Chef's knives the larger one would have been more appropriate.

I got this as a gift for my dad for his 68th birthday and this is what he said, and he shares his true thoughts. A couple of things he said were" and "I have never seen a better sharpener". I found this knife sharpener on the Buck website for about $20 more than it I found it on Amazon. You can't lose with this one.
