This adapter worked perfectly for my application. I swapped a 1JZ motor into a MX83 Toyota Cressida. This adapter helped convert the signal from the engine harness so that the factory cluster could read it.

A definite "must have" if you've got an older car with an original tachometer running on a newer ignition system. My original series tach wouldn't display without this. The instruction were easy to follow and MSD support services is excellent from my experience.
