The herald's staff in this caduceus, with two snakes intertwined, is the mythic phoenix with transformative powers of rebirth and renewal. Representing Hermes or the Roman Mercury, the staff was also borne by Iris, the messenger of Hera. Often used as a symbol for medical professions, this large pendant is crafted of solid sterling silver with bright red enamel. Marked Oberon Zell and 925.

I feel in love with this pendant when I stumbled upon it a few days ago, so I went ahead and ordered it. Shipping was super fast, ordered on Tuesday, Nov 30th and received it Fri, Dec 3rd. The item is a bit pricey, but worth it! Not heavy at all when wearing it, you tend to forget you have it on. The chain (19") is a little short for my neck, but I already have another chain prepared for it, so I'm not too concerned about that. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, and will definitely buy from this seller again.

I have to say that I love the pendant. The design is original, the size is perfect, the detailing of the feathers and serpents exact. However, there were a few flaws with the enamel in the sun disk - in three places you could see the silver underneath. It was tiny, though, and I could only see it from a distance of maybe three inches. The chain, at 19" long, was a little short considering the size of the pendant, and I am planning on going shopping for one a little bit longer and possibly in silver or stainless steel (22" should be perfect.) Considering the quality of the material I have to say that it would be better priced at around $40, especially considering the chain and the flaws in the sun disk. Overall, though, I am highly satisfied with this product. I would definately buy it again.

This pendant is wonderful. For the price, I find it a bit small and thin... which would have normally made me rate something 4/5, but the size was listed on the description, so I already knew what I was getting myself into. And really, it's worth it! It's a beautiful piece, with such amazing attention detail. It's a quiet piece, which people might like if they're looking for something understated instead of something showy.
