5Improves on an already excellent original
By Red Harvest
Believe it or not, this one is even better than the original Tonka Mighty Dump Truck. I had already bought my kids one of the classic Tonka Mighty Dump Trucks like I had as a boy. (The youngest was tearing around with it in the sand box, across the drive, everywhere, basically like I had.) I didn't intend to buy this new bigger one, I was just going to buy the Road Grader and Quarry Truck Pack. By a stroke of fortune the store was giving that pack away with this new Toughest Mighty Truck for about the same price, so I figured, "Wow, free truck!" and plopped it in the cart. Turns out that it would have been well worth it regardless.I had seen this newer monster sized version, but wasn't sure what to make of it. This one is well thought out, and Tonka really did improve on the existing design. The larger, wider size makes it even better for little ones to push around as fast as their legs will go. It has fewer angled corners so wipeouts are less likely to draw blood/raise a lump than the older ones. The new handle at the top of the dump is great for dragging in and out of the sand box, storage box, etc. The open cab works better for some construction action figures (if you can find them.) Fits great in a 6'x6' sandbox and would do well in a 4'x4'. On top of the functionality, in ways it looks more like the newer more massive real life loaders in service now.The only potential negative is that it is so large that it is probably overwhelming in small sandboxes. This also means that even high lifting loader toys will have trouble dumping into the bed without a ramp or a bit of "air time." Hasn't slowed my little ones down yet, though. Now, if Tonka would just bring back the old 3920 Mighty Loader...

5Awesome Truck!
By c2
Boy, what a great investment this was! We bought this along with the front loader and wow, does it get used a lot! My little one just loves filling up that front loader and dumping stuff into the back of this dump truck. The dump truck then goes all over the place delivering whatever is in the back, and comes back for more. He goes through sand, mud, you name it and looks great. These trucks clean up very easily and don't marr hardwood floors. It's pretty cute seeing how many things he can do with this truck - it just provides hours of fun for him.

5Nice Truck!
By Incandesia
We bought this for our 16 month old son's Christmas present, after much deliberation. We bought this truck, instead of a softer, all plastic one for several reasons. The metal(steel?) bed has rolled edges, and very few corners. It's coated with some kind of enamel, so it should last awhile. The rest of the truck is made of some kind of really heavy plastic; I can't imagine a child being able to break it if they tried. The tippy part of the bed is suspended above the truck, to leave about an inch of space, making it almost impossible to pinch little fingers. It's big enough for my almost three year old to sit in, and I can hardly wait for Christmas!~Incandesia

5Quality w/ Ease of Assembly
By Reviewer
I just put this together over the weekend and I must say I could not be happier. I have assembled more than my share of "boxed" furniture and so often there are problems, but this cart is quality. The holes were drilled properly, the pieces were marked and they even supply an extra piece of hardware for every format used. Very considerate. The instructions make sense with one small caveat. Do not look at the hole marks on the illustrations as a guide for placement, as I did find one mistake on the back panel. Just know that all multiple holes will go inward. External holes also get plugged with nice finishing dowels. Upshot is, the piece is extremely strong, the wood is good quality, the drawers run smoothly and the stainless steel top is beautiful and is extremely heavy. This is not a flimsy piece. There's also butcher block top version, Solid Wood Top Kitchen Cart And Workcenter , which I just ordered a few minutes ago, being that I liked this unit so much.

5A Kitchen Space Saver
By A Customer
This cart was just what I needed. I only had 2 small drawers in my kitchen and not much storage or counter space. This fits nicely in my kitchen. I am able to have more counter for cutting food and making bake goods. Also, the shelves are great for easy access to pots and pans. I couldn't be happier. The casters also lock the island in place.

5form meets function
By ess
I bought this kitchen cart for my husband's birthday. It's not the most romantic gift, but it has really stood the test of time. It wasn't too difficult to assemble and--most important of all--it is super sturdy, with locking wheels, an attractive, durable stainless steel top, and plenty of extra storage space. It's the perfect size and height (at least for us). A real winner!

4For what it is, it's good.
By Jeddy 3
I bought this as a playpen substitute. It's as advertised, so I don't have any complaint about the quality, but up close it looks even cheaper than it does in the photo. The person who said it looks like a dog kennel nailed it. So if you're looking for something that will go well with the decor in your living room, don't bother with this. The way it looks doesn't bother me that much; what does bother me is that my son, by the age of 12 months, had learned how to push this thing around. It doesn't anchor to anything, so he started to shove it all over the living room, making it tip and generally creating chaos. My solution was to attach those removable non-marring 3M "Command" hooks to the wall and tie coated wire around them, then lash that wire to the play yard. It doesn't look beautiful, that's for sure, but it works; the play yard doesn't budge any more. If your little one is walking, you too will have to jury-rig a solution to their tendency to push the yard around and even lift it if they're strong enough.I also recommend you get those colorful interlocking foam tiles to put under the play yard; it makes the play area a bit safer. Amazon sells the "Edushape" brand, but you can get various brands just about anywhere. All in all, it's not an elegant solution, but weary parents who need a break will love it with all its flaws.

2Not really for children
By M & J with twins
I purchased two of these gates for my twins with hopes of connecting them together forming a rectangle around their existing play mat. This product certainly could not perform that function. My 10m/os tipped it over immediately. Then we tried the gates as advertised, individually as hexagons, and they still were able to move them. The worst part was trying to return them. They were placed in one order, but Amazon shipped them as two. When requesting a 'call tag' to retrieve them, they only picked up one box. The other remained on my front porch. Multiple emails and calls finally rid me of the other gate and I received my refund.I ended up buying two Kidco Playdens PD10. They connected together in the 8' X 4' configuration I needed (I called Kidco first to make sure), there is two swinging entries, it is very sturdy, it is taller than the Superyard, and they can not climb it. This solution costs more, but was really my only option. For children of the age where they are challenging their standing and climbing skills, I would keep moving when looking at this product.

5This has been wonderful
By Kendra Gehring
When our 2nd kiddo started getting mobile, I knew it was time to kid-proof the great room. Problem is, our great room is just that - great, as in large. The doorways are wide, the floor space is large, and our very curious 9-month-old was eager to explore every nook and cranny. Our older daughter wasn't quite as curious at this stage, plus we were living in a different house at that time, so we were faced with a new challenge of creating a safe play area for the baby. One day I had the idea of getting a play yard for the great room, instead of covering/blocking every single potential "hazard" (the entertainment cabinet, the CD tower, etc.). I ventured to Babies R Us and found this play yard and the extension kit (2 extra panels) and bought it. I set it up at home and have been happy with it ever since. For awhile, I used it in its totally enclosed state, but the baby didn't like being separated from the rest of us. I tinkered with it and came up with a way to keep her out of trouble, while still allowing her access to us - right now, it's in a large arc shape with one end butting up against the couch, the other end butting up against a chair. She has plenty of room to play (I keep her toys in there with her) but she can't get out or get to any "dangerous" stuff in the great room.As for looks, yeah, our great room isn't company-ready right now. But we have a 4 year old and a 10-month-old in the house, so the house isn't pristine anyway (my house is CLEAN, just not always NEAT...ha ha). I figure it's temporary, until she's old enough to know to not touch certain things. Besides, we don't have company, except for family, so the unattractive-ness of the play yard isn't an issue here. Even so, I'd gladly overlook the ugliness of it just for the convenience and benefits it provides. When the time comes that we no longer have to use this for the kiddo, I'll probably hang onto it, either to offer up to friends/relatives someday, or to keep as a puppy play yard for the future.
