Remember when the nation had a critical incident and former President Bush said to use duct tape to help seal openings in our homes?Some folks laughed because they thought he sounded like a Quack. But folks still purchased duct tape just in case. I hope you kept yours because you may need it to augment the protection provided by these excellently built coveralls during a major CBRN critical incident.The Tyvek Coveralls with Hood and Boots, combined with hand protection and a full NBC/CBRN-rated gas mask and filter, are chemical resistant and durable enough to serve as a field expedient suit for protection against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear contamination for a brief period of time provided: the operator (user) immediately decontaminates him or herself with a chlorine-based solution (remember to take ANOTHER regular bath to remove the chlorine!), and, take Pro-Ki (iodine) tablets as required. (See my other Amazon product reviews.)If wearing warm weather clothing underneath the coveralls, order the normal size you would order for COVERALLS. Unless your last name is "Bigfoot", the coverall boots should be large enough to cover your shoes or workboots. If wearing over thicker winter clothing, moving up one size is recommended. The Tyvek Coveralls are flexible enough to use shoulder mounted firearms to protect yourself, your loved ones and those whom you are blessed to have stewardship over, too.It should be noted that the bottom of the coverall boots, although durable, will not last over an extended period when worn on the outside of your shoes or boots and traversing over rocks and hard pavement, and walking over an extended period of time (e.g., urban evacuation). If traversing over rough terrain is expected, the operator should therefore have appropriate footwear to wear on the outside of the coverall boots (e.g., the coverall boots worn over your socks, then all placed in the footwear), or the coverall boots cut off at the lowest possible point then place OUTSIDE of your chemical resistant footwear.Got that duct tape handy? Now it would be time to securely tape the the coverall boot area to your footwear, and tape the elastic wrist areas to the outside of your chemical resistant gloves.
